View Full Version : Cubing exceptional white items to elite-class. Possible?
Found exceptional-class white akaran rondache with nice mods: 10ed, 44allress. Is it possible to cube it elite-class sacred rondache?
I know the arreats summit cube recipes, but either im doing things wrong or converting exceptional white items to elites isnt possible.

you cannot upgrade an exceptional white item. If you read the info at arreat summit, even if it is an exceptional item, it is still white. You cannot upgrade white or gray items. Only rare, magical, and unique
Ok, just what i feared. Thank you.

you can use larz, the number of sockets it will get depends on its ilvl

only uniques and rares can be up'd and whites, magicals, and crafteds can't be up'd.

In the new patch, the new awesome crafting ability:
1 ring + 1 amulet + 1 ring = 1 amulet of worse quality!
But, as said above, no you can't.
3 rings = amu
3 amus = ring
with these ilvl = int(.75*clvl)
Does the Charsi imbue reroll any of the starting stats? If it doesn't you could use an imbue to make it rare THEN upgrade it :).

Good idea Ranti! Don't know why I never thought of that. I'm probably too busy playing around with other stuff....my mind :brainiac: has gone a little in my old years. Thanks for the idea!

Yes it does. I had a +3 elite javalin rerolled for some good additional mods, but the *substitute Charsi for a very nasty female rude word* rerolled some average stats AND rerolled the +3 to +1. I guess that goes for innate mods on tiara's and skills on scepters as well. Only runewords don't do any harm to existing mods.
