For example, will a lvl 1 char be able to get a hr eg. ist with their hell drop? If that is possible, isn't it a good and faster way to build up wealth by grushing new chars for their drops instead of mfing?

I am of course assuming the lowest possible hell drop rune is a Pul. Am I correct?

Asking this because I have 2 computers and several cd-keys. Therefore, can easily grush mules for their hf drops with my only good char. lolx

as far as i know the lvl have nothing at all with what drops from hf. the only thing that affect the drop is difficulty lvl

You can get up to gul from hf and character level makes no difference.
The lowest possible in hell is less than pul, I think it's hel.

In my personal opinion it's timeconsuming and not really worth it but up to you of course.

no, it is random

for hell forge, it drops randomly from HEL to GUL
the chance of dropping a HEL and GUL is the same

OIC...i only did 1 HF drop so far and gotten an ist...thought it could go all the way to zod. If thats the case, then it might not be worth the effort then.

Can any gurus then tell me the range of runes for the normal and nightmare levels?

Take his word for it; he even has the guru bobble-head thing going on.:azn:

Out of that handy link:
Hellforge rune drops
Normal: El - Amn
Nightmare: Sol - Um
Hell: Hel - Gul

I once got an um 7 times in a row from my NM hellforge. I think I could sooner find a Tyrael's might than do that again. What are the odds? ~1/50 million?

7 um's in a row? (1/11)^7 = ~1 in 20 million.

Not bad then for an off the cuff guess eh? I didn't have my nice big calculator here at work. I just checked and got around 1/19.5 million so that seems right. Next I'm going to find a Tyrael's...or win the lottery.:jig:
