25 torches, not one good one... What are the odds of these drops.??

i have sold over 25 unid torches and each time the people tell me what they got, and most of them show me then i leave by perming myself.. and i have not got 1 pally torch, and the one sorc torch i got was 12/11... WHAT THE HELL... can someone please tell me what the odds of getting a pally torch are because right now my luck is just horrible..

I would guess the odds of a Pally torch are 1 in 7.
1 in 10 for the attributs and res.

So 1 in 700 for a 20/20 Pally Torch.

Offcourse I know nothing about the odds in D2 but if the stats on Torches are just random then I think I'm right (though I was never any good at maths).

Just 675 more to go ^^

1/7 for a ptorch (we assume, pretty well everything on the uber quest is server side)
1/11 for each stat level
1/11 for each res level

1/7 x 1/11 x 1/11

1/847 for a 20/20 ptorch
1/121 for any 20/20 torch

Yeah Inanefedaykin is right there would be 11 options for the attributes and resistance. So your odds would be decreased to what he said for a Perfect Pally Torch.

You can't really complain about bad luck when you're actually trading them away unided. If you'd ided all of them on the other hand, that I'd call bad luck.

For myself, last 11 torches were 3 barb, 3 druid, 2 sin, 2 zon, 1 necro.

Not a single sorc or pally torch... and I ided them all.

That's exactly what I'm thinking; you should feel really lucky on that!:smiley:
I've got about 60 torches so far, and they're fairly evenly distributed, just about 1/7 of each kind. In addition, the average stats+resist is around 31, so I think it's quite random indeed. Although I did get lucky with Pally ones: I think I've found 6 ptorches so far, but 3 of them turned out to be: 15/20, 19/20 and 20/20 (my only 20/20 one).
