boost kick with %ed on shield ?

Hi,
is this normal that i dont see dtalon damage improvement on character screen after i put a %ed jewel into my shield ?

Is this a character screen lie or i missed something about %ed effect from non weapon source ?

Off weapon ED affects kicks, it's no lie.

There's a reason they call it the LCS (lying character screen)
