Well, to answer your first question: He has a level 20 conviction aura. So if you want to keep maxed (or nearly maxed) resists despite this, you'll need them (lightning, at least) stacked to about 165. Your survivability with decent equipment should be just fine as long as you're stacked above ~130.

And - Assuming you've got life tap and are putting out a decent amount of damage, you don't need any block at all for Dclone. My GPA-wielding werewolf makes very short work of him, with no blocking whatsoever.

Über Meph has L20 conviction, so you need 125% res in addition, except to poison.

Regarding blocking, I don't know. I do the übers with my zealot (using one point smite) who has max blocking anyway. However, I'm not under the impression that the physical attacks of the three hurt much. On the other hand, I'm visiting the organ übers with him as well and Lilith can hit very hard, so negating 75% of all their melee attacks is quite useful.
