trav owning me

Im pretty sure someone has figured out how to never die in trav. Whats the secret? LE + FE is more deadly to my barb than Iron Maiden. I have near perfect resists (with gtoes and chancies on), about 3400 life, 9ll (which is I admit a little bit low) and I do about 1000-1600 dmg with 195 str.
So whats the deal, this isnt working out at all. I used to be able to get 3 mil gold in about 15-20 mins and now ive been playing for about an hour and Im at 1.5(after reaching 2.7 in 30 mins).

Needless to say, its really irritating but then again finding a soj there helped cool me down a litlle bit.

Maybe you need higher damage so the LE won't get to hurt you. As for the FE, hotspur?

Lightning Enchanted + Fire Enchanted

The amount of elemental damage you take from council members is much higher than it was in 1.10 and earlier. The solution is to make sure you'll have 75 Fire and Lightning resistance if you get hit by conviction if possible, and to balance strength/life differently than 1.10.
1.10 MF barbs for trav runs were able to be much more oriented towards more life or more strength, but they need to be balanced now. The reason is that you don't want to be getting killed in one hit between whirlwinds, but you'll often be dropped to 1 life during a long whirlwind, and you need to hit one of the non-unique council members last so your life will jump up from the leech. Be sure to have a few juvs in your belt, and sometimes you'll need to have to move aside and drink a few healing potions, and knowing when you need to do this is something you'll learn pretty quickly.
As far as Life Leech, 9 should serve you fine, Using a 240ish exec on my gold finder, I have 9 LL and 2 ML, about 5k AR, something like 2500-3000 life, and I don't die from Trav. On a mauler with about 300 strength I had 2000-3000 life as I leveled up, and I had as low as 6 LL, which was a bit low and occasionally didn't leech enough, but 9-10 works fine, and 11LL off your weapon and 3 gloves with angelics for AR is amazing, you will rarely if ever die.

Balanced with life as I explained in the last post. That's the harder part about trav barbs now, and as with ES sorcs, it needs to be balanced along with gear, so there are no rules or formulas of how to do it.

I havent' died to travincal in probably 9 months (admittedly haven't done many other than rushing lately)

Legal's mart is a +1, 268 dmg, base leach, with pskull socket. He also wears dual 3% leach fr/lr mf gloves with the lr/fr mf boots. tri topazed grande crown, and full angellics. I forget the belt, but it's cold dmg, fhr, and rezz's I think.

245 str, rest vita at lvl 88. 1k-1700 WW dmg I think, and slightly over 3k life with BO gear used.

the only times I end up having issues, are when I get mana burnt by a fana/member at the end of a WW, and happen to be amped - getting surrounded by those bastards, when amped, and they're on fana, and one is out of mana can make one start pummeling the keyboard looking for juv hotkey...

I try to spend as little time in nm (regardless of act) as possible

if/when I get to 89 (he's 1/2 way there) and decide to MF in Chaos, I'm sure I'll be killed instantly more than once due to IM. :laugh:
