Strength glitching (again)

I asked about strength glitching a while ago but I still don't completely understand how it works. Right now I have 47 base strength. I have a +5 strength large charm and +2 small charm to bring it up to 54, allowing me to wear a Shako (str req 50). The shako gives +2 strength as well, bringing it up to 56, allowing me to wear my mage plate enigma (req 55). The enigma boosts it a lot, letting me wear silkweaves (req 65).

So my question is: if I die and reclaim my body, will it equip me in that order (shako, enigma, silkweaves) or will it screw up and make my equipment disappear? Thanks in advance.

The Enigma armor adds enough +str to remove the charms after you equipped it, i.e. the items sustain their status from each others' bonuses. That's the str bug.

If you remove the charms from your inventory after equipping everything and you die, you won't be able to equip the shako from your corpse without the charms, so all the rest cannot be equipped as well.

If you die again with only half your equipment, you will have two corpses with equipment on them and if you leave the game now or you get disconnected, one of the corpses will be deleted. Therefore you should never try to reclaim your corpse from even remotely dangerous situations if you take benefit of the str bug. If you don't want to lose the XP from giving up the corpse, don't exploit the str bug !

I for myself never exploit that bug for that reason. IMO it's not worth the few saved stat points.

So as long as I have my charms in my inventory I'll be fine, right?

Yes, but there is a second, harmless str bug which will let your character appear naked for others while everything looks OK for yourself. Well, not really naked, of course, but without the equipment you need the charms for. It's just a display issue.
