View Full Version : enhanced defence
how it is added to armor
say for example you have 500 def armor and you make coh in it (200 ED)
does that mean the final product will be 1k defence, ir is it +200%, making it 1500 defence?

Yes .
The second one, you add the ED.
So, do unique items always use the highest value of their base item?
Ex.
HOZ - According to Arreat summit the base defense for a gilded shield is 144 to 168.
Enh. Def ranges from 150 to 200
Total Def range is 422 - 507, all of which are possible using the 168 base defense.
My HOZ is 478 Def w/ 183 Enh. Def which follows using the highest base.

If an item spawns with ed%, it will always have base defense of max+1. Being unique has nothing to do with it.
Since HOZ has +%ED, it will always have base defense of max[144,168] + 1 = 169. I think you should recheck your calculations. int(168 * (1 + 1.83)) = 475, not 478.
Thanks for the info.
And yeah, I realized 169 was the correct number but just assumed Arreat Summit messed up and decided that a formula with Base + 1 + X*Y just seemed silly, but ahh silly me!
