do you guys have a picture showing how big a yard is in the game?
like a lvl 1 fanaticism showing how big the aura is
or a lvl 5 static field showing how big the radius is

this sample under the sorceress character page-> static field doesnt work

http://www.diabloii.net/characters/paladin/screens/yards.htm

hopefully, i can get a bunch of screens showing 2 yards, 4 yards, 6 yards, 8 yards, 10 yards, etc
and more importantly, the radius being shown clearly

unlike this screenshot that shows only one point along the circle
http://www.diabloii.net/characters/paladin/screens/yards.shtml

maybe something very visible, like a nova attack

For starters, this should help Pic (http://www.chrisclarke.co.uk/D2stuff/PDFs/Synergy_relationships/D2Radius.jpg)

In 800x600 resolution, the screen is 16.7x23 yards. In 640x480 resolution, the screen is 13.3x18 yards.

This means a skill with a radius of 12 yards will go passed the edge of the screen from left to right by 3.65 yards on each side, and passed the edge of the screen from top to bottom by .5 yards on each side. If you wish you can measure something out easily now on your own.

Also note that some skills list a radius for area of effect, but really mean diameter.

Do tell? I hope not CE.

EDIT: Leave it to blizzard to screw up basic geometry terminology.

Do tell? I hope not CE.Offhand, I don't know which, but a quick google search says yes to CE (sorry), as well as all Necromancer spells. I'm not sure how widespread the phenomena is. I believe I got the information from RTB, but I can't find his specific posts.

Mm, i read that a maxed out CE has a radius larger than the screen, so i dont see a real problem there :)

My maxed out CE kills about half way across the screen...it works well.

CE lists diameter, not radius.

It' so sad not to have a 14 yard radius CE. Think of the massacres.
