does it add on the base dmg ?? i know its hidden, but, can someone kindly explain it to me ?
For e.g., Grief CB, does it add another 300+ on the base dmg ?

yes, the modifier adds to the min and max dmg of a wep. so add 300 to min dmg of the cb then the max, add them together, then divide by 2 and you get a very tight range of avg dmg

to clarify... if i make a Grief Decapitator, then that would be the 49-137, plus the +dmg from grief ? Im planning to make a Chargedin by the way, and it seems Grief is nice, but i dont know what wpn i should use,

If you make a Gried in the Decapitator, and it rolls a perfect +400 damage, the damage of the Decapitator would be 449-537. That gives an avarage damage of 493. It doesn't show that damage on the base damage of the Decapitator or in the LCS though.
A perfect BOTD Thunder Maul would have a better avarage damage. Also, BOTD has better mods for a charger IMO.

FYI, Grief in a two-handed weapon will be worse than e.g. eth BotD or even Oath in nearly all respects, assuming it's made in an elite weapon.

so, just stick a ebotd ? CB or WP or Thunder maul ?

I would go for a warpike. It deals just a tiny bit less damage than a thundermaul, but it has range 5 and the reqs are distributed on str and dex.

I was under the impression that eDeath Decapitator was the way to go.

i also heard that regarding the edeath decap

perf non-sup eDeath Decap = 354-994 dmg (674 avg) with 40%DS @ lvl 80
perf non-sup eBotD TMaul = 245-1350 dmg (797.5 avg) with no DS
perf non-sup eBotD WarPike = 245-1335 dmg (790 avg) with no DS
Ignoring the effects of Crushing Blow and assuming an additional 45%DS from Gores + Highlord's, all other factors being the same (namely off-weapon %ed), the eDeath Decap does about 8% more damage on average than the eBotD TMaul. CB effects and the altered str bonus for maces would complicate things, but probably not enough to pull the maul ahead.

correct me if im wrong, since the death has a high chance of DS and CB, coupled with gores, and higlords, i would be dealing double damage most of the time ?
why in a decapitator and not on a glorious axe ? thx alot for looking into this

See for yourself:

Hm, would someone use an Ogre Maul in place of a Thunder Maul for ebotd? Trying to decide what my eOM is worth ;)
Neither Ogre Mauls nor Thunder Mauls reach the last WW bp with 60% IAS so go for the big damage.
I'd use Glorious axe. One less average damage, but a lot less requirements, same speed, and better range than decapitator. Just a little harder to find one with the right amount of sockets.
