View Full Version : Hell difficulty is full of A-holes
I recently moved up to hell from nightmare and I have encountered nothing but unkind and unfriendly people. No one is playing, they all just want to trade for some godly item. Everyone uses some slang abbreviation for the item and if you don't know what it is they call you a noob and tell you to leave.
Is this what Hell is all about? If so send me back to nightmare.....

What server are you on? On EastSC NL there's usually a good cs run going on with decent people. Or at least I've been lucky enough to catch them when I could.
I'm on USEast SC NL. Ive seen those Csruns but I havent gotten past act 1 yet and I can't find any good games to help me quest through.

just make a new char and join nm games till ur high lvl enough for cs runs if u can get to act 4O_O

getting through act1 is usually no problem, but asking for act2 hell help you just wont get it just because the act is so long thats why you have friends to rush you which leaves out the hassle of dealing with "A-holes"
oh and for some reason with my experiences on both East and West i think that there are nicer people on US West
I played USwest back in I think 1.09, there were alot of people playing classic and there were alot of nice people, I guess it hasn't changed much. But when I came back to play classic, I originally decide to goto west, but I found the servers extremely slow for some reason. I don't know if it's improved at all since last year. So I haven't been on west at all since then pretty much.
Is there anyone here on USEast SC that wouldn't mind rushing me through? Maybe tomorrow night?

Friday evening, after 9:00 pm eastern time. I hang out in an empty channel for the most part. op nasal leakage.
At the moment, I don't know which of my 5 accounts I'll be playing, so no sense in me putting them in here.
put your account in though. If I'm feeling up to it, I can rush you through to Act 4. Leveling, and non essential quests are up to you - however, I can give you every way point in hell.
edit: assuming by east softcore, you mean ladder.

I glazed over that part when I replied. I didn't know NL was still even remotely active still...
that being said, ladder is dying off too. The CS runs even only go in spurts.
I'm finding that the only place to mephy glitch, is the baal runs that the A5ers are doing, and even at that, I have to be careful - a couple of times, a lower level has made the baal game...
at this point, at 85 1/3 I'd be very unhappy to quest mephy...

Non ladder is pretty much full of morons, you should really play ladder if you're looking for decent PvM players, though ladder is dying too.

one issue, is there are quite a few people who have remade in order to be lord's again. combined with a larger lack of tolerance for folks using pickit, and I have heard that there are a few doing priv cs's again primarily.
The rather loud mouthed, obnoxious level 8, that couldn't even be gracious enough to thank us for partying his worthless butt, acted all holier than though, "elite" and all, yet jumped into the mix, and premade a quest game, and wondered why everyone bailed on the run. either he was truly a moron and didn't know about folks not wanting to get barroned, or he was playing the part of moron exceedingly well. needless to say, I don't think he got any levels in at least 4 of the games in the 10 that made up that set :laugh:
I also have his char name noted, for future hot tp selection... :thumbsup:

Also, 91 Lord BvB, #1 Lord on ladder for a long time, before me it was my old buddy Walt, Boagrias.

ouch. you weren't the teleporter in that game eh? that's the one thing, on the way in, by the gate, that q button popping up has saved my butt a number of times, when I get lazy, and forget to check.
Citi-hammer tried to chase me out from mephy glitching once.
I foiled his first effort in the first game, by partying up, then unpartying, and he was no longer hostiled to me :laugh:
2nd time, he didn't party up the folks that still insisted on offering me a party, so I left, came back with a sora on another account, partied up, and teleported in. he neglected to get a BO at the river, and took my tp right as I popped infector's seal :laugh:
he hit alt+f4, but apparently not in time - FD, just as he was closing in on lvl 90.
he's left me alone mostly since, I didn't even have to make a mission/game out of it like you, and some others have/do... :laugh:
I must say that Europe in that regard is pretty decent then.
In the evenings there are usually 2 or 3 CS runs that last quite a long time. (10 to 15+ anyway)
And when you're a regular ... it's usually easier to join in.
I think Warlock mentioned to me once that we should rush alot of noobie chars to Hell ... So D2 classic won't die on us ;)
One thing that p*sses me off MASSIVLY though, is people who use the word NOOB when you do not know one dupe from another or are not a GG dueler or just want a nice trade. That to me are the biggest (probably 13 year old) A-holes ;)
I fixed that problem tho, I don't duel, mostly never trade anymore and usually play with people I know personally or played with them alot in CS runs :)

my friends lost i believe two lvl 95's, a lady ama lord bar back in .09 in a premade game, i made a couple on west and never lost the title - i was friends with a number of the highest level ladies and duchess' back in the day who had to put a lot more time into those chars than baroness' and queens, not that they had anything better to do :grin: which was nice for me since they were so responsible about checking the q log in the public runs.
also, I remember CoF as being a weak and cowardly clan when i was playing earlier this season in east, my friend and I beat them decisively 2 against 5 all around high 80's and i think a 90ish din with my mid 80 blizza and friend's 89 din. The one CoF member i was friendly with around that time on /f list i noticed they had the slowest runs, wonder if they ever got someone who could play sor they were bru-tal.
Maybe I am wrong with the non ladder part. When I choose my character it says "ladder character" under it. Does this mean I am actively on the ladder? I thought you had to go an extra step and join a ladder. I've never bothered to click that ladder button next to the join/create game menu.

If it says "ladder character" you are playing ladder... button next to join / create only displays top 100 people with greatest experience (on top of ladder).
So is anyone interested in rushing me through tonight around 9 eastern?
Would be much appreciated
