1-hand weapon for pvp fury/rabies

Iv read through most of the forums and read some guides about what a good 1-handed weapon for a fury/rabies pvp druid would be and iv come to the conclusion that the best options are ebotdz, greif pb, and grief zerker.

Iv seen people list their gear and each of these weapons has appeared more than once....but before I decide on the best option for my druid I would like to hear from some of the more experienced duelers and druid users.....

Is either of the three the outright best?
Are there advantages/disadvantages of each one?
Is there a reason ebotdz is the best besides that fact that kiba uses it?:wink3:

Im kinda new wolf. What i can figure out that its good to use grief when using rabies because the -20-25 % To enemy poison resistance (varies) and to use Ebotdz when using fury and SS.

Phase Blade Grief is a 2 range weapon and Ebotdz is a range 3 weapon.


I guess Ebotdz is good against fury wolfs and any kinda bears.

What is the difference between Grief pb and Zerk Grief?

A veteran wolf can help you more.

speed. a phaseblade has a base speed of -30 while the zerk doesnt. Meaning using a greif zerk gives you a 6-7 frame attack and the pb a solid 5.

I was a big fan of an ebotd berserker axe on my old fury-rabies wolf and fury wolves. While Grief makes for some nice consistent damage and has a nice little amount of ds, the range on the berserker really helped. I'd use the ba against smiters a lot, as the range of three usually bests the common Grief phase blade's range of two. Plus when smiters get uppity and start charging, it's nice to have that maxblock with a Stormshield as well. It really all comes down to a matter of preference.

Also, if you're pulling the Death's Web switch on a fury-rabies wolf, won't the -poison resistance from that override the -res from a Grief? I always though such -res on Grief was nothing to clamor about when comparing it to other fury weapons, as you'll pull the switch as soon as possible once landing a bite with rabies.

Using Grief Zerker on a Wolf makes me cry T-T.

Also, the -poison res doesn't stack with switch AFAIK so it;s not an applicable factor.

thanks for all the replies guys!! since price isnt a concern and it seems there is no reason to use anything but ebotdz, im gonna go with that for my 1-hand weapon
