Hey there all. I have built a windy with the following stats and am getting claimed left right and center in hell level. Cant seem to lvl to 80 to use my arachnid mesh. Would you be good enough to let me know where I have gone wrong? I used the ALdurs set basically becuase my son liked me shining light a xmas tree lantern with the following goodies.

Lidless Wall Sheild.
Gale Hold Bramble mitts 65%ED 22% poision resist + mana stuff.
Deayth Gyre Ring life, mana and MF and resists.
Chaos Finger 114AR, charge bolt on strike, stamina
Blood Ring Amulet +1 skill 8%FCR 15AR mana and resists

My block rate is a lousy 35%

Resistances are 75, 68, 75 &61 Hell lvl.

Damage
Tornado 2445
Hurricane 1245

Defence 1770
Stamina 619
Life 921

I have level 26 grizzly (tank)
10 SOB
15 Cyclone
34 tornado
34 hurricane
23 cyclone armor

I carry 5 elemental skillers plus a torch with a collection of small charms.

So how about it all, have I screwed the pooch?

My Barb Merc has;

Flamesbellow Balroc Blade
Eni Armor
Arreats Face slayer + 2 skills

Damage 2143
Def 2518
Resistance are all 72

Reading the guides first would be a good idea.

To start, 921 life is VERY low, where are your stats located? I would recommend either going max block or pure vitality, but not inbetween. Your 35% block sounds like you've been putting points in Dex.

There is no reason to put any points in SOB (I'm assuming that's Spirit of the Barbs?). You should be maxing Twister, Tornado, Cyclone, Hurricane, and rest of the points in Oak Sage I believe. The Grizzly tank isn't too bad of an idea though.

Appreciate the responce.

My Stats are:

St 169
Dex 146
Vit 291
En 160

As I am wearing Aldurs + other skillers (blood wing, Torch, lidless wall) I get 8 skill points so I have put 2 into Spirit of Barbs (early mistake)

I have maxed Hurricane, Tornado and Grizzly and have been adding to cyclone armor to try and max it as per the PvP guide by Fenris (been very helpful).

I guess wearing Aldurs might be wrong and I need to look at Eni and the other goodies in Fenris guide but I was hoping to build a PvM rather than a dueller.

Clearly not right so far the question is: is poor old omni recoverable?:embarassed:

i believe you can make a decent windy with aldur's. take advantage of those 3 open sockets in the weapon and find some good jewels to socket...resists, stats, fhr, etc.

the helm also has 2 open sockets if i recall...shael or ber, or prubies even.

is this single player? or realm play? a spirit shield would do you some justice since you can already use it.

I will give it a go, thanks for the tip. Off too search for a new helm, without 2 MF pgems in it.

Thanks again for the tips!

And on the low life... My lvl88 druid has exactly 100 points into vita, and can solo everything in hell, and also überizual and ü-duriel, however I have +20 skills in the elemental tree, and not using aldur, but with a decent build and an active mouse, I think you should be able to do good in hell even with that 'low' life.

if you don't want to rebuild the char, atleast try to get some extra FCR for your 'nadoes to be more effective. (Spirit shield, upped Magefists, FCR rings, FCR amu..)

I'm just starting out.... but I don't know if Oak sage is the way I want to go.... I'm thinking HoW might be best, the AR could be invaluable in hell difficulty and I won't have to load myself up with AR charms and such.

Although, Aldur's may give me all the AR I need, so maybe oak sage is the way to go. I'll have to look into it.... hmmmmm

The most important things are: fcr, life and damage.

Try to get at least 99fcr for faster killing speed.
Get more itams with +skill for more damage
Put at least one point into oak sage, but preferably more.
Don't worry too much about resist. You got cyclone armor for that.

-

Chaos Finger 114AR, charge bolt on strike, stamina - Get rid of this
Gale Hold Bramble mitts 65%ED 22% poision resist + mana stuff. - Get trang oul's gloves,
Change your liddles with a spirit.

WOW! Those sound like great items.... I wish I could trade PGEMS for stuff like that.... I don't think I'll ever get the wealth to afford items like that.

Congratulations! I think I'd just about pee my pants if someone offered a SOJ or Anni charm.....I can't even fathom it.
