Low Quality Cube Recipe & Socketing Query

After searching the forums i found kuafu posted a link to a list of what items can receive what sockets but my damn work browser (dell cannot find adserve blah blah blah) won't let me view the page...in regards to this recipe:-

1 Eld Rune + 1 Chipped Gem + Low Quality Weapon = Normal Quality Weapon of same type
(ilvl = 1. That is, regardless of what the ilvl was beforehand, it will be set to 1.)

I have found (been searching for ages!!) a low quality Blade Bow...max sockets a normal Blade Bow is 4...i need it to be 4 for 'Faith'...if i use the above recipe and the ilvl becomes 1, is there a high chance it will receive less than 4 sockets?

Theres a 100% chance for it to not get 4. ilvl 1 blade bows max numer of sockets is 3.

Really? Are you sure? I didn't think you could socket a Low Quality Anything with Larzuk...so, if what you're saying is true it will stay Low Quality Blade Bow but written in grey and have possible 4 sockets as it was dropped in an area to have it's true ilvl...

And i'm not using the cube to add sockets either...

Interesting...i have learned something new today :smiley: , thank you helvete, i can see why you made your Spirit in a Low Quality as i can assume it's for CtA BO Buffing?!

As you said, i wouldn't make it out of a Low Quality either unless i could cube it and it had the guarantee the upgrade to Normal would give me 4 sockets but that Q has been answered so i guess i'm back to searching for a white Blade Bow or a 4 socket one...

he probably made it because though it was low qual it still has 45 res. if he'd used the cube to up the quality it would not get 4os and also reroll the staffmod.

That is correct. My SP untwinked base str hammerdin used that until lvl 90, when I had built a sorc which found HoZ.
