I was on ESCL yesterday (June 4th 2007), looking for CS runs. I joined to a game, they invited me to the party. What I saw when I joined the party was level 9X barbs, sosos all in Harrogath !!!
I immediately left the game, thinking that I might be banned just because I am in that party.
Till now, as I know, no one is banned for ACT 5 hack.
If a char is classic and is in ACT5 then BAN
else do not BAN
Is it that difficult to do? Of course not.
But Blizzard can not invest time for such a minor algorithm.
Shame on Blizzard.

interestingly enough. roughly 2 years ago, a non-ladder friend of mine and I were talking on the phone about the future of the game.
he lamented how one really had to be an "uber nerd" to get to the highest levels, and that it was an insane number of CS/Raids to even break through the 93/94 level range - that it had to contribute to Bnet's problems with rapid fire, 90 second or less cs runs for example.
that, in fact perhaps the next patch would include if not an act 5, then perhaps a mode, beyond hell? lower resistance a notch further, and up the mLvl of the monsters to provide more xp...
I can't help but wonder, if Bnet's decision to currently not act on it, is a testing ground for such an idea...
If blizz did release a new patch it would be nice to have act 5 included.

Keep act five out of classic.
Some players took a lot of time to get their levels legit, from CS runs. I haven't played classic since this **** started, just because there's no point. I'd like to see Blizzard just play around with those in A5, have classic A5 monsters do 10x the damage, all monsters aura enchanted with fanatacism, make them die quickly. Then convert them to LoD when they leave the game.

a full patch, would presumably happen during a ladder reset at which point a new season would begin, and everyone starts out fresh. non-ladder isn't important enough to discuss, anyone still playing there, jealous of the higher levels would be able to start in any act 5, and/or "beyond hell mode" as well.
and yes, I understand your point as well - I have heard, that team vera for example, did get converted... :grin:
oh, and apparently, it's pretty hard already for some. I frequently MF in games that are supposedly baal runs (I don't join their party's) and I see some of the comments in game, telling the healer to hurry up, and "cloud", give juvs, etc...

Sad, I could baal with my level 75 HC din with no BO on LoD with 8k dmg.

funny, I couldn't even do nm cows, chanted at lvl 30 what, with lag... :thumbsup:

I had 8 skellys, and amp, as well as a 1100 dmg chant, figured with that meat sheild, I'd be able to get some exp... had just arrived in nm too :laugh:
I am ok admitting, that I am not patient enough, not skilled enough, to survive for a lengthy amount of time on HC. although, I may play some more here in a bit, I still have a lvl 28 fire sorc in the works that is in nm now...

Sorry for going a little off-topic but I was just wondering whether you would consider ever coming back to classic when/if they fix the current issues or maybe make a ladder reset?
