Can you stack curses? That is to say, use amplified damage, iron maiden, and decrepify (or any other combination for that matter)?

OR

Can you only cast one at at time - which is what it appears over the characters heads.

Thanks!

Only one at a time. Even if yuo cast a curse, and then another player uses a different curse, the most recent one will be in effect. However, a couple of curses cannot be over-ridden, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Conversly, you can stack auras with multiple paladins in the game, or multiple enemies with different curses will also stack against you.

Attract can't be overridden at least. I think there was something about Confuse too.

Dim Vision cannot override Confuse, according to the Arreat Summit.

I think that's what you're referring to?

If you have an Act 1 merc, her inner sight will stack with one curse.

Hello dudes,

As far as I know Attract, Confuse, and Dim Vision (the three A.I. curses) will override all of the other (non A.I.) curses. According to the Arreat Summit, Dim Vision will be overriden by both Attract and Confuse. The only thing that I am not 100% sure about is how Attract and Confuse interact with each other. But, I am pretty sure that the last one cast (of those two) cancels the other, and is the one that remains active. Also, I am pretty sure that an Act I Rogue's Inner Sight curse will override any of the non A.I. curses, but not override any of the A.I. curses. This is the same effect as when (for example) Attract & Decrepify interact, i.e. the Attract or Confuse curse will still be active "beneath" the Inner Sight Curse, and the monster(s) that are cursed with Attract or Confuse will not be affected by Inner Sight even though all of the monsters surrounding it (within it's area of effect) are. This gives the appearance of curse stacking when it is not actually happening.

Because Attract affects only one target, and cannot be overidden (sp?), this feature also allows you to Curse a monster with Attract and then safely cast any other curse except Confuse directly on top of the Attracted monster, and either speed up the monsters in the surrounding area killing it with Amplify Damage, or slow them down with Decrepify, Weaken, or Terror (yo-yo anyone?) . This does not unfortunately work all that well with Confuse because of it's area of effect, (as you would need a curse with an area of effect larger than that of Confuse for it to work at all) but should work "in reverse" with Attract. Meaning, you could cast Confuse, (cursing an area) and then cast Attract on one target, which should override Confuse on just that target whilst leaving all the other monsters Confused. What practical applications this would have are questionable as the Confused monsters may ignore the Attract curse. I have never actually tried that 'though.

%$(*%!@*, I thought that I was only going to write a quick response. . .
