Quick Fury/Rabies Question

I'm levelling my Werewolf by running NM Baal. A few times now, I've been on lvl 3 WSK and surrounded by Iron Maiden Casting Mages. It appears to me that I've been under the IM curse and have been able to use Rabies and not lose my life. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the case or did the curses change and I was lucky not to die.

Basically, the physical damage of your rabies isn't high enough to take out enough life to worry about it. IM is really only dangerous against high damage physical melee chars. 50% damage return on a 10k WW from a barb or a 15K fury or something is going to be 5-7K damage, which is why it can wipe out barbs in 1 shot. But, rabies gets most of its damage from the poison, so yeah.

And it's something weird with Grief. Puma discovered that with his Coyote, Hunger actually gained him life when attacking a tapped enemy with IM on and that it only worked for Grief. Maybe it's the way it adds damage or something.

Hm... that sounds interesting. Someone should test it with something like the Redeemer or something else that has the same style +damage mod as grief.
