m getting bored of d2 and someone suggested makin this char. i have basically no experience with this character at all and had a few questions about gear.

Helm: most people say jalals is by far the best choice possible and i probably agree with them. but i also had an idea of a druid circlet with frw mod, + str, +dex (maybe visionary mod). how would that rank up against jalals? and how much would say 90% bonus to ar help? (if needed at all).

weapon: etomb for casters obviously, but i can't find a better choice among ebotdz and griefz to go with ss. any suggestion there?

belt: right now i'm going with a 24 fhr 9% ow 56 life crafted belt. i've been trying to roll a similar one with +str. are there any better choices or am i on the right track here? i can probably reach max dr without the need for dungos

armor: everyone says bramble, except for the rare few that say enigma or fort. i kinda like the idea of enigma because of the massive frw, +skill, %DR, and +str. how much would my rabies dmg suffer if i used that instead of bramble?

gloves: i was thinkin bfists since i'll need the fhr if i'm using nigma. any other ideas? trangs obviously, if u suggest bramble over enigma.

boots:treks, waterwalks, gores, nice rare ones?

rings/ammy: angelic/ravenfrost combo? or i also had the idea of a frw +druid crafted ammy.

People are going to end up saying this a lot so I figure I'll post it first. You're going to end up with a lot of gear switches depending on what you think you're going to need at any given moment. Do not build around the strength from enigma, you stand a good chance of not using it in several duels.

If you have a 2 40ed/15% ias jewels, 3 soct eth tombreaver, and a zod. Use the eth tomb reaver. If you dont then use a ebotd gpa.

1 handed weapon wise, greif phase blade. It does way way more damage then a ebotdz.

i suggest using a bramble for your overall armor. if you are really in a pinch, towncharge your feral rage to chase down telecasters if you don't want to use enigma.

also one very important thing to note. everyone will question why as well.

don't run vs melee, even if you're using a 2hander. why? unless you're very good at timing and visually stopping less than a yard before shift furying, you'll overstep into your death. walking tends to solve this problem. a little trick i learned when i used to play hammerdins to cover up the bald spots from the hammers' paths
