Ok ive been looking for along time which pvp character to make and Ive decided wind druid is the character for me.

The biggest debate im having atm is which fcr and which fhr break points should i hit? Why is fhr so important on a windy?

Any gear suggestions.. price is not really an option.. I want an awsome PVP Windy.. planning on probably going max block unless someone can convince me otherwise

Thanks in advance

Please read the guide in the stickies or the many threads that have been started recently.

Most druids use 99fcr/99fhr setup in PvP with max block. However I prefer 163/99, no block, full vita:hide: Most of is indeed explained in the guides.

I would use

Ap Enigma
Hoto
35 Fcr Spirit
Eth Treks
MageFist
Rare Pelt
Soj/Bk/Fcr ring/Raven Frost
2 skill Fcr amulet

ok well i posted hoping people would be helpful other than "read the guides" i read the only guide i could find that was in the sticky.. I read 15 pages of the guide and no were in the guide could I find out why FHR was so important on a druid? does tornado cast speed get affected by it or is it FCR still?? And is the 163 BP better for FCR or 99. Plz someone with good advice

FHR is so important because human druids have horrible hit recovery. Meaning that you will get locked by many pvpers and you wont' be able to move. Generally the better FHR breakpoint you can achieve the better you can escape/fight back when you get hit. 99 fhr is a MUST in most duels.

99 FCR is nice but 163 FCR is where druids shine. You will need this vs. other fast casters like sorcs/necs/pallies/other windies. 99 fcr is only advisable IMO if you need to maintain max block or something else vs. melee/physical damage characters. FCR is important because windies have to cast the most "stuff" during a duel. Generally you have to teleport/tornado/hurricane on top of which you have to recast cyclone armor/summons/oak sage.

ok thank you for your advice... so your saying the druid shines at the 163 breakpoint. which sacrafices max block because im guessing you need a spirit shield to hit the last break point.. so are you saying a max vita 163 fcr build is the best? I want to clear pubs with ease. My partner is a boner but i also want to be able to solo pubs. I notice alot of BvC's etc running around so i was gunna go max block. alittle more input on these subjects would be nice thank you

99/99 max block windys and 163/99 windys are both two seperate and viable builds. The better one is the one you prefer to play. You are correct about 163 fcr builds needing a spirit monarch which is a very bad shield to get max block with.

Heres what I would suggest if price is no option...

99fcr/99fhr

-gear-

Pelt 2/3 2sockets w/ 7fhr 15res jwls
Mage Plate Enigma ( looks cool and low str )
Perfect Spirit Sword ( crystal for looks )
crafted +2 druid ammy with str, res, 10++ fcr
SS ber'd
Arachnids
Trang gloves ( cold res )
Tri res + fhr boots
2x fcr rings with str and res mods
perfect cta/spirit on switch.

-charms-
9x 20 lifer scs with fire res ( maybe 2 fhr scs see below )
8x ele lifers (32+)
1x ele gc w/ 12% fhr
Perfect anni
Perfect dtorch

-stats-
Str- base, maybe a few to get to 156 (SS)
Dex- enough for max block
Vit- All the rest
energy- NONE

-Skills-
20 tornado
20 hurricane
20 twister
20 cyclone armor
rest into oak sage

what you end up with..

FHR--> pelt 14 + boots 10 + spirit swrd 55 + gc 12 = 91% fhr

So if your pelt doesn't have 10 base fhr you will need two fhr scs (w/fire res)

FCR--> Gloves 20 + arach 20 + rings 20 + spiritsword 35 + ammy 10= 105 fcr

at lvl 90 I'm guessing you'll have around 5k life with this gg gear.
prolly 6.5k dmg (plenty)
Max Damage reduction (ss 43%, enig 8%= 51%dr)

Only thing you need to watch out for is resistances. The crafted ammy, pelt, and boots res is really going to matter if you want to achieve max resistances in hell.

hope this helps.

You definitely need minion stack in PvP. 1 Point into summon sprit wolf wil give you 5 wolves because of the added skill points. You could go for grizzly, but it isn't necessary. I suggest maxing your elemental skills first, then get the spirit wolves and continue to max oak sage after that. After lvl 92 when you've finished the other skills you could get grizzly.

Absolutely, I forgot about that.
