I have recently acquired the Faith GMB for my Zon, currently 87.
With my Pride Merc, and Faith GMB, I am still dealing less than 4K Dmg with guided arrow fully maxed.
The fortitude I noticed has 300ED, plus it has some decent resists. I was wondering just how much more dmg the armour would add to my attack.
Thanks!

Actually, I believe I Had a typo in my post. I am doing into the 4K dmg zone, however definetly not 5K. In 8 player hell games I cannot kill anything. This is really annoying and I was just trying to seek opinions on what I should do to increase my damage. If you have any suggestions on top of fortitude, it would be much appreciated!! BTW i was thinking about a 120/45IAS Helm.

300%ed simply means adding 3 times your bow's damage (plus any +min/max dmg charms and/or jewels, etc.).

My pride Merc. Because Pride gives off concentration aura, would it be better for me to get a defensive Merc instead? Unlesss out of sheer luck the Might and Concentration both work at the same time....

No luck required. Might and pride can both effectively operate simultaneously.

you can edit your posts for up to an hour after you first post it.
for killing the run of the mill creature group, dont use GA. you need a more damaging (per use) attack such as strafe or multi. GA works on singles alright, but not on groups so much.

A fort usually adds around 1k damage, and a 120/45 helm adds about 500.

^That would be max damage wouldn't it?
To OP, I have to ask. Did you add most of your points to dex?

Yes, that's to max damage.

So last night I equipped a 120/45 helm, as well as a fortitude. For 1-2 player games I can do chaos runs somewhat quickly averaging low 6K damage with guided, and 5ish with multi. I don't know what I can do any more to increase my damage, I am still unable to harm anything in an 8 player hell game. What kind of charms should I be looking for? Or any new gear?
Helm: 120/45 or Andy's
Ammy: Cat's Eye
Rings: Dual Leech, Raven frost, or Life leech +11 all resis
Belt: Nos Coil
Bow: Faith
Armour: Fortitude
Gloves: Cleglaw, or just rare IAS +1 Bowazon skills
Boot: War Trav's or Waterwalk
Inventory: Anni, Torch...
gloves: loh, really the best option.
Belt: if you don't need the ias, get razortails.
inventory: max/ar with dex or more damage if you don't need life, res, mf...
what are you expecting from your amazon, she ain't a hammerdin you know. 5k average really is not that bad.

didn't someone had a superblast with wraith in cs?

here my opinion might help this is my bowa
helm:dream
arm:forti
amu:cats eye
bow:faith mb
gloves:knockback craft
boots:gorreiders
rings: raven
belt: nosferatu
but 2.8k dmg
but stil i own olmost every1
why use dream? it only offers 1-648 lightning damage to your attack, when you count the resist from some monsters, it reduces further more. 120-45 helms with mods (such as life/frw etc.) is better since you can get to the fastest attacking frame possible.
and the pulse damage from dream attracts monsters. A bad thing.

Heh, yyeah.. I just want all my characters to pwn like my hdin, or my sorc.
I get really frustrated when I can't kill anything at the rate im used to killing at. I may have to strip my smiter of his gore riders ;), but then end up putting more points in stre. Luckily I have kept 10 stat points free.
This was my first zon ever, but I wanted one that pwned. Do you think I would achieve more dmg with a 160/60 Armour to go along with the 120/45 helm?

Would Highlord wrath ammy be better than cat's eye???
well... which one will have more damage? 300ed from fort... or 160ed from 160/60 armor if they have the same fpa already?.... of course fort offers higher damage (300>160 right?). :P
Consider using Atma's Scarab over Cat's Eye for 8 player games. I've been testing both, along with Highlords and the Atma's always results in a higher kill rate because of the CTC Amp Damage, even though the other stats are mostly junky.

Hey does anyone know if the 160/60 armor works, I mean instead of Ias what about +15 max damage jewels? Since bows are relatively low damage +max damage I would assume helps zons more than other classes...
War traveler's might also help here with the damage boost since only thing you really miss from gores is the OW (which stops monster healing).
But 120/45 helms are the sexiest things alive :sunny:
Not a bad idea that atma's, haven't used one since .09... Not sure if Pride will actually increase your kill speed the most, a reaper's toll when it casts decrep will definitely increase your damage exponentially better then pride. However I don't know how often it will proc for you
5k is really all you can hope for on a good faith matri. Windforce is the supererior PvM bow. Faith is only better for PvP because it can hit the bp that windforce cannot, which you need to try and blocklock your opponent.
Well if you use Strafe, Atma's blows every other ammy away...it's not even close. The following strafer setup will carve through 8-player nicely:
Helm: 80/30 Giantskull (ugly but effective)
Gloves: LoH
Ammy: Atma
Armor: Fortitude
Bow: GMB Faith
Switch Bow: Hormony (for sprinting and Valk buff)
Boots: Gores
Rings: Raven + Rare dual leech
Belt: Nos Coil
Inventory: Torch + Anni + whatever
Merc Type: Act 2 Might
Merc Weapon: Pride
Other:
Dex should be 400+
Crank up critical strike to 70%+. I know that seems like a lot, and there are diminishing returns, but you should have points to spare and damage is damage.

If his damage is high enough then yes.
Max resists are tricky but possible.
15% from Faith
39% from torch and anni (this will vary from 20 to 40)
30% from Fort
30% from Anya quests
= 114% all
LoH add +50% to Fire (164%)
Atma adds +75% Poison (max)
Rare ring adds ??? (for me 13% cold and 21% lightning) (127 cold, 135 light)
SC charms do the rest. Most of these have 2nd mods of life or dex. Remaining charms are damage GCs and 1 passive with 39 life.
Leech is not a problem, because you almost never get hit and because when Atma's triggers, it doubles or triples your effective leech in Hell.
I use a different setup when soloing. A 2os 30FRW helm w/15% all res and crafted KB gloves. Everything dies so fast that FRW is more important than max damage.

or you can take a zon through hell with red resists...
CDM makes a good point, max resists are hardly necessary for a Zon. My reckless style dictates a little extra safety net, but I could easily get away with just a couple a lightning charms. I just habitually max the resists of all my PvM characters when I can.

I've tried a lot of combinations including matbow and reapers. The setup you described is exactly what I came up with. Kills very fast in 8 player games. The difference is I use 8%Ears (you don't need the 10%IAS) and Cta, but nosf and harmony are just as good.
Also I use multishot extensively (left click), switching to strafe when the group shrinks. For best killing speed you definitely need both multishot and strafe, and always max critical strike.
On the might Merc: Pride eCV, CoH (+ skills means higher might aura), and CoT or Andariels.

...Why?
I'd rather have max res.
