Help with nec build in pvm/pvp

Hi im just started to play diablo 2 after a break of 1.5 year and need some help with necromancer builds and so on, i have tried bone mancer but the dmg in pvm is so weak feels i cant do a **** with like 5-6k max dmg but its leet in pvp i know but im wondering on a poison mancer, then what "build" should i use and what gear...

Don't try doing a PvP char starting, It will feel hopeless because you can't afford too many points in str/ dex. ( since, otherwise you'll never reach final potential ).
