Similar to JMoD, it isnt easy to buy one of these from an npc... If you put 3 facets in this you will have one of the best shield's for max block on a caster. This is also without a doubt the best shield for a javazon.

A such shield would really need 4 sokcets to be worthy facets, imo, especially if you're going for 5/-5's.

A jeweler's monarch of deflection aka JMoD (4sok) is pretty much the rarest item in the game, more rare than tyrials might... people sell their souls for it (or 250++ high runes) on battle.net

since you cant get 1,500,000 perfect gems to make a JMoD, this is the next best thing. You can't buy JMoD from NPC's, but this is a serious alternative, and is highly sort after to the right character.

its roughly 2 million to 1 odd's to get it from an NPC

and is highly worth putting facets in, sells for 50 ish high runes on b.net clean, i've always NPC run to get shields of deflection, and always will =]

I am going to put 3 5/5 poison facets in the next one I get, for my poison assasin... but right now I cant afford them and need other items much more to become a mat

We are not on B.Net, so stop talking about HR's. And IMO that sheild is not even worth a single 5/5 facet of any type and JMoD is not the rarest item in the game :rolleyes:

You should have shopped for Trap Claws, then would you have a chance for som good items.

if you do some research on JMOD you will hear alot about tower shields of the same sort... soon you will see the power of this shield (star wars script springs to mind).. ill try and get some near perfect poison facets just to show it off...

I do like an hour of NPC running a day for various magic stuff, i look for claws too.. ive bought 5 or 6 of them before before my sp restart, so i expect to get another one eventually..

@OP: This shield actually possesses most value as a mid-level dueler sheild socketed with max damage jewels.

The general concensus is one of these (usually gothic or tower) with max jewels is about on a par with swordback hold plus a jewel from what I've heard. Towers have better blocking than gothics but do incur a FRW penalty as a negative. i have an Artisians Gothic of Defelection sitting in a stash on my home computer, these things aren't that difficult to shop.)

Also is it really neccessary to advertise all your items when you try and trade them?

Most people of the single player forum members her are pretty knowledgable about the game and don't need some sort of advertising speil to convince them whether they want to trade for something or not.

(Also shield number two is completely useless. You can get any number of normal or exceptional shields with 2os (Mechanics prefix) and of deflecting with similar defence, much higher blocking and a lower level. Sorry to burst your bubble but if you want advertising.....)

shopping is basicly how i made all my riches on b.net, i came to a quick conclusion that it would be useless here after i posted the thread.. i didnt actually think most people would have seen them before

IMO jmod is still more rare than a tyrial's might though.. the ammount of pgems you need is rediculous... 1 pindle run seems quicker than finding 9 flawless gems for 1 monarch roll to me..

First, it's "Tyrael's Might". The angel in the game is called Tyrael, not Tyrial :rolleyes:

This armor can't be dropped by Pindle. But it can be dropped in many more areas than from Baal himself. Check MF guide in stickies for more info.

If you have no maths for that, do not such conclusions like X is rarer than Y.

Now go make some MF runs and don't wait in towns chatting with NPC's, play the game :wink3:

First of all, a JMoD is pretty much Tyrael's Might stuff, and that shield really is quite frikking good, not to mention it's not that easy to shop for one. And it's great for MLD.

It's just a bit rude to come in someone's trade thread en posse and start saying their items suck while in fact you are talking RATS!

It's always important to remember that trade values here are not the same as B.net. In fact there are some very serious departures in some cases.

Some of the high end socketed ethereal weapons come to mind here. They are worth multiple (duped) high runes on B.net, but are often Pgem fodder or free here. You pretty much have to have a 1.07 weapon to have any value here at all, and even then, you can't expect to haul items in.

There is also, of course the rune situation, but that one's pretty obvious.

Dodgydave makes a very good point. People around here generally know what they need and what is of value to them. As long as you don't jump on offers immediately, the true values of items will come through. If it's worth a ton, people will start out bidding each other. If someone is lowballing you, someone can POLITELY come in and say something. If you don't know something's value, you can alway go to the Pricecheck thread.

Look, I understand why some people got annoyed. Being told that you should value something just because its worth a bunch of (in my opinion worthless) duped high runes on B.net can be a little grating, but please try to be polite. Dysgenics had already conceded that he didn't realize there would be such different valuing for them here, so there was no need to continue on at that point.

Remember, in the end, the only thing that really matters for value is what someone is willing to pay for something. If someone's FT doesn't match their ISO, they won't get any offers. If something is really valuable, multiple people will start listing piles of items (or ask for an extended ISO.)

i just want to say that when people say, like i did, 250 high runes on battle.net it actually means ''To the value of'' no one would ever trade 250 hr's because half of them would have spoof'd in about 24 hours

@Jigizu I play all areas of the game lvling and mfing - just because i npc run dosnt mean I dont meph, pindle, level, trade, duel and gamble etc =]
