View Full Version : Whats the best PVE/PVM Build for an Amazon?
Hey guys! just reinstalled diablo 2 and LOD and wanted to know what is the ultimate amazon build for single player? I want to make a hardcore phat super tank super resistant spear stabbing biatch with more power than xena :P and I figured where better to ask than here ;-)
please note that I don't want to use bows at all..
Basically I want this character to be able to finish all 3 difficulty levels fairly easy ;-)
thanks in advance guys :)
great to see sooo many ppl still playing this game.. I can't believe how active this thread is. I'm also gonna get back into Starcraft soon :P I never actually finished that game but man o man did i clock up some serious multiplayer hours.. now that SC2 is announced its all good!
Jihah, a newcommer, always makes me extatic. And I'm the first to welcome him. Jiha.
*kick nebbby to the shins.* How wait, that the single player forum, don't forget to pass there aswell. ;-)
lf/fa, though as you don't want to be using bows, lf/poison is to way to go. Just start maxing lightning fury and charged strike. Both to a lvl you find good. lf doesn't need 20 points to be effectieve. Make sure you have a decent poison attack ready when you hit hell.
In the mean while you need to get some point in pierce, a good valk and some points in decoy. The decoy will become stronger as you put more points in vitality.
This way you have two decent attacks, a bosskiller and two decent tanks, 3 if you take a merc that can tank.
P.S. this is assuming that you go untwinked and that this is what you want. You can always make a jabber or fendazon, though these are hard to master, certainly untwinked, certainly in hardcore.
this seems to be the most relevant guide:

Just on a sidenote -- a great many LF/FA players don't take a Valk. LF zons are pretty stout characters to begin with, so they don't require the meatwall to the same degree that bowazons might.
In fact, if I were rebuilding my LF zon, well, I would probably skip out on the Valk altogether and either apply the extra seven points I put there (to hit 17 after plus skills) in either Pierce (since I don't use Razor Tail), one of the LF synergies, or Freezing Arrow (so I could hybridize the character for more effective killing).
But the Valk is a safety net, and they are so easy to turn into incredible tanks that some folks won't play without them. They do come in handy in Hell on certain occasions, when you are faced with monsters that may have certain immunity combinations and therefore might require more time from YOU, the player, to address them properly.
I don't know...if you're all about safety, then, by all means, go with the Valk. However, if you think the merc gives you enough safe time...then don't.
