View Full Version : How does the +% damage/-% resists on facets, Griffon's, etc. compare with +skills?

I think I want to make a lightning Javazon, and I was wondering if there was math I'd never understand done on this. I tried searching for facet and resistance/resist, but couldn't find anything.
I guess it's comparable to the whole FoH optimization thing. Is there a point where either +skills or +% damage/-% res is definitively better?
I wouldn't know where to start looking/calculating this.

It's different for every skill, and it gets really complicated with Sorcs because of their mastery-synergy interaction, but it's pretty safe for a Javazon to assume that Facets and Griffon will always beat +skills... hence why the best PvP CS Zons tend to go for Griffon and Faceted JMoD.
well, colonel, i'm sure either is good, but i'm not sure which is better ...
try and stock up on both! that's the best option yes?
I was wondering the same thing. For example if I have to choose between Griffon and Magic +2 skill / 30%frw /2 perf light facets tiara. I guess perf Griffon wins but a weak one probably not. But wheres the line?

If the grifs was the worst possible (10) w/ a 5/-5 light facet i think it would still have slightly more damage still than the circ. That being said, if you want the 30%r/w THAT badly then im sure you could use the circ over griffs and notice minimal difference.
When I use my spirit then switch to my 20/-20 monarch I notice a HUGE difference in damage. (the 20/-20 being the larger ;P)
