So im gonna be using pride on my merc instead of infinity. But the only problem i see now is that pride is used only for its conc and only has 9 ED. So should i just make it from some crappy polearm? Or should i actually spend a bunch to get an eth GP or high ETH polearm? I saw a perfect pride ETH gp and it only did like 200 dmg which seems like a waste of time n items to me... And after that should i still equipt a fort on my merc since hes not really being used for dmg, or should i put an uppted shaftstop so he doesnt die as fast.
erm.....also you gotta remember that pride has the "freeze target" mod and that makes it tough to start your army in the beginning

Yea, that's a problem but i sorta got a way to get around it. Take your merc and go to the Black Marsh in A1 to get started... the big beasts and spear ladies are usually cold immunes so you can go balls out. And, the added bonus from the aura to your ~15 skeles more than makes up for what your merc is hitting for.
Basically, pride's worth it, just don't bother with an eth if you don't need to (Doesn't hurt though)

Better yet, just run to pindle and use the massive number of corpses already on the ground.

Can you really do that? Cuz they wake up n stuff...
Of course. Thanks to a bug, they take significantly longer to wake up compared to 1.09 and previous. Plenty of time to make skeletons out of them.

I can raise 14 skeletons and 3 mages before they start bugging me.

You can go to Eldritch and let your merc make bodies for you there as well, they are cold immune. There are only 11 of them though.
