I'm building a sniper/furazon hybrid, and was wondering if light strk would work with this? It gets a decent bonus from fury and when i'v tried it with bonus fron thundergods appears to hit targets multpile times tho sometimes it doesn't look like its doing as much dmg as i would have thought. If that's just me and not some bug i dont know about, then strike i think would be more useful than fury with smaller, dispersed groups of monsters. a 30-hit, 1-1.5k+ dmg, hi speed Chain lit sounds much better than running around like a headless chicken herding monsters together.

LS in my experience works extremely well, it's very viable for cow running (and won't cause CI's) and general pvm play, i'd be interested in seeing if someone could farcast LS in the same manner as legitimate CS farcasting.
By sniper i'm presuming you mean a bow/fury hybrid ama? If that's the case you might benefit more from maxing charged strike rather than lightning strike, it'll make boss killing a hell of a lot easier.

lol, that could really shred an overlord or beastmaster.. even if his minions are on the edge your screen and he's way off, a 2k+, 35+ hits LS could still reach him and his minions die..
and a golemancer would take half the hits from each strike before the golem dies :P
by sniper, specifially max guide for lit immunes, MSLE's and other nasty bosses like fanatism/MR. for P/L immunes, i run. I dont like relying one dmg and guide gives a "long range" attack. i'm using Lycander's aim, which is suffiecint at lvl 54 and after all elemental and might merc i get 400~1100

You certainly can FC Lightning Strike just like Charged Strike. I've done it on Shenk's posse before.

The thing with Lightning Strike is that if you try to spam it it'll sort of cancel itself out. It complements Fury very well, though, because it excels where Fury lacks: lots of spread-out monsters. LF, LS, and CS make for a very versatile set of lightning skills. LF for tight packs, LS for more spread-out mobs, and CS for single targets.

how does it cancel out.

how does it cancel out? what i have noticed though is that if targets are too close to each other you don't see the bolt and looks sort of like static field and the annoying thing is when this happens each target only appears to be hit once only, both on the screen and in damage taken on the monsters.

Ls is a fun and useful skill.
I've primarily seen it on spearzons though and that is where the skill is most effective.
You can definately still use it as a java though.

LS is an awesome skill to have on a Spearazon or a Javazon. I put Jab on the left click, then alternate CS and LS on the right. That way you have crowd control + Boss Control.

It does good damage when synergized and with enough +skills you can get upwards of 28 jumps or more.

It's definately worth using.
