Hey. I just got my fishy through nightmare, and wanted to pause to plan out my gear selection before starting hell. Basically, I want to know what order I should acquire what items in, based on my current equipment:
Helm: Lore Crown
Ammy: +1 Necro Skills, 19 Fire Res or 33 MF
Wand: +2 Necro Skills, +1 Golem Mastery
Armor: Vipermaji w/ P Topaz (32 Res)
Shield: Rhyme Tower
Belt: 10 FHR, 29 Life, 16 Cold Res, 29 Lit Res
Gloves: 14 MF, 15 Lit Res
Boots: 35 MF
R1: Nagel (16)
R2: 15 MF, 3 Dex
Along with a bunch of life, res, and r/w charms.
So my question is, what equipment should I look to replace first?
I really want to get a Tarnhelm w/ P Topaz, but it seems that Lore is doing just fine for now and other equipment is in more need of replacing. I could look for a better ammy, perhaps +2 skills or +3 summoning. My wand is also very weak, maybe I should look for AokL. I could look for Chance Guards, but I sorta like the mix of LR/MF on mine. I could look for better mf rings as well. Or should I just spend some Pgems on a low Necro Torch??
The only 'wealth' I have to trade is: PGems, Ravenfrost, Buriza, 40s Flail. I play on USEast Ladder, and if anyone can tell me the trade values of these items I would really appreciate it.
Also, if Buriza has no trade value, would it make a good Iron Golem?
Thanks in advance everyone.

First off, Buriza can't make an iron golem as it's not a metal object. However, I have seen them go for ~10 pgems, maybe more depending on the %ED. Ravenfrost again depends on the stats; more dex is better, obviously, so you might get a wide range of pgems for it depending on how much dex it has. 4os flails are pretty commonplace now so I think you might get 3-4 pgems for it.
Second, I would say get somewhat optimal gear before you start magic finding. You want to get an AoKL right away. Its bonuses to the summoning tree are unbeatable by any other item. It also has +2PnB if I'm not mistaken so it'll help with CE also. This is a necessity. You also want to get a homunculus, which I've seen closed on for as low as 8 pgems. Finally, as you said, a low Necro torch would be a great investment. Low ones are 10-15 pgems which should be pretty easy to get.
Those are the basics to make your skeletons have fast killing power. Once you get that down, get a gull dagger (~2-3 pgems) and put it on your switch with the Rhyme shield. Summon your stuff with your AoKL/Homun and keep your Gull/Rhyme out while your minions kill everything. Since you're not doing any direct killing, you can change your gloves to chance guards (unless you really like the lit res), upgrade the rings, get a Goldwrap(2-5 pgems) and a Ptopazed Tarnhelm or Shako, and wear the 33 MF ammy you mentioned.

Ok, I've been trading Pgems and Items and now have an AokL and Goldwrap. My next investment will probablly be a low Necro Torch, Gull, then a Tarnhelm.
I don't see why Homonculus is necessary if you're just pre-buffing with it, any Spirit will do the same. It's great if you're going to use it to quest, but otherwise it's just +2 skills.
But after that I'll just roam around the Pits and see what I find. By the way, I found a Key of Terror while questing. What does this go for on SCL USeast? Can I acquire some of the items from my list with this?

I would upgrade the Goldwrap in the Cube; 4x4 > 4x3, especially if you're a pot-pig with the blues (CE can eat through your mana in a hurry).
I'm not as big a fan of Rhyme as I am of Splendor (Eth Lum), and if you can make it in a head that has +3 to the summoning flavor of your choice, so much the better. Either of these in a good (blue) head beat Spirit, hands-down.
BTW an AoKL isn't indispensible. Any decent wand with summoning bonuses will do. But do remember to make the switch before killing.
What will save you a LOT of time: a Naj staff. Teleportation is Da Bomb. This will also be much much cheaper than an Enigma (though that should be yer ultimate goal, natch).
If your survivability is good, you might also consider making an Insight golem, it makes spamming CE much easier.

Hey everyone. I have an Ist and was wondering how I should use it, whether I should socket it or what I should trade it for. Here's my current gear:
Helm: Shako (P Topaz)
Ammy: +1 Necro for Prebuff / 33 MF
Wpn1: AokL for Prebuff
Shld1: Sigons Tower for Prebuff
Wpn2: Gull
Shld2: Rhyme Tower
Armor: Vipermagi (32 Res, P Topaz)
Gloves: Chance Guards (34)
Boots: 35 MF
Belt: Goldwrap
R1: 22 MF, 14 Lit Res
R2: Nagel (25)
Necro Torch (17 res, 18 stats)
Gheeds (31)
So I was wondering what I should spend the Ist on to optimize the hr, since I don't come across them too often. Thanks.

Use it to get a junk enigma. Best bang for your buck looking at your current gear.

Absolutely. I'm sure someone on the forums would pay handsomely for a legit Ist.
