hello,
do you think skelliemancer can be a good WSrunner? which one do you think is better: ~300mf 5sk nec or no sk hammer? can a mf nec do Diablo and Baalruns pretty fast and still have some mf left ?
also - what is the best nec build for runs like that? baalruns, diabloruns, pit runs

I'd say summon necro should be the best, but however not the fastest.
I have no idea how Psn is in pvm, but psN/summon hybride is viable.

We do really well in pvm (As in poison necros). I can run Act 4 very well but we have a big problem in act 5. Everytime I go to WK or beyond everything is completely immune to poison even with lower resist and death's web. Facets don't really help either. Act 4 is easily doable so long as those bugs don't spawn (but I can tele past them anyway). My friend has a lich lord build and he can solo ubers as well as rush act 5. Kill baal at the end as well. So summoners can do it really easily. However, like the person above me has stated. It's not very fast.
so, for MF runs you would choose slow, high mf nec or fast, low mf hammer?
what skills to use for those runs if i choose necro? skellies/poison? skellies/bone (i dont think so)? skellies/mages? skellies/what?

Skellies/mages work very well. If you got the right equipment, you do WSK very fast! :smiley: IM could sometime be very unfriendly, but often there arent any around.
would mages do any significant dmg without LR ?

Mages serve perfectly fine as meatshields, they protect you from the back!
They also do damage, but of course the warriors deal the more significant damage.
The more monsters = safer for you.
but when using skellies, reviews and corpse explosions, any MORE corpses could be difficult to find sometimes - especially with cold mages which will crush some corpses.
is using beast and might merc with infi (if i will go skellies+mages) a good idea? could a 'party' like that handle hell dia and baal fast'n'easy? :)
LR - lower resists
20 Skeleton mastery 20in either mages or normal skellies.
rest in poison tree.
You should use 'splendor' in 3revive/3lr + Add.
I wouldn't want to boost your skellies damage, but your own.
Merc should use - Infinity = Mages.
You should use Deaths web to boost your own damage, i think CE is quiet nice - but nontheless - you'd need quiet many charms to make the Radius more viable. Combined with LR and Infinity - this will do enormus damage.
well... so i se 2 ways to go:
1) Poison/Summon - 20|20|20 poison tree, 20|20 mastery,mages. DWeb, Infi merc
2) Summon - 20|20|20|20 skellies, 20 corpse explosion, Beast, Infi might merc
but which one is better for diablo, baal and pit runs (all mf)?
You'd only need 20 skellym/rskelly/rmage.
Rest 1pt, even revives.

I have actually no idea who'll be more effective.
Ill make a summon/poison hybride in awhile, and ill hope for my own best.
What you want to do as a hybride:
Have good psn damage, the main killing power will be your nova.
Support and meatshields from skellies, they inflict quiet some damage ( i'd prefer mages + some revives holding off the other ones.
Summoner: Your skellies will be killing machines, benefit more from Amplify damage then from LR. ( Your CE also )
You''ll support your pets with heavy artillery.
I think both build goes down pretty close to eachother, however CE will also be a 1pt wonder for Poison/summon as he relies more on PB charms ( which makes, it quiet good - radius- wise ).
I think Summon might be better for raw power.... :) Experiment. Ill post again when I am done with my necro, so that we can compare ( if you're going Summon way )
No ill have to say that I think that poison necro with the right gear is CLEARY better. Just tried a necro with ( full geared, necro hybride with mages + lower res and infi merc, clearly rocks ) I have about 10kish poison nova using death web. 6 skillers.
I reach a lvl 46 poison nova with this setup:

Totally 25 ( 26 /w bo ).
how does a pnova necro do against act bosses?
I got summoner 700MF and I think i do WC faster then hammer...
consider that hammer got to chase that few monsters thats are not hitted in first wave of hammer.
Amlify & CE will clear room extremly fast...
only slow down is thouse harpies with phisical imune.... but they can die too...

Act bosses? I can easily do hell Diablo and Baal. Including andy and Meph. I don't really have any trouble with them at all. I can't do baal if too many people are in the game but Diablo is hardly a threat. As for too many in the game? Normally there's another high level so we can easily duo him. This is, again, with a poisonmancer.

Depends how many people are in the game. If I'm all by myself I can kill them pretty fast. If there's many it can take awhile if no one is insisting me. We're not viable when it comes to rushing because many of the monsters in act 5 are immune to poison. Also with many people in the game even monsters can be a bit slow (the ones not immune to poison). All in all we do pretty decent but I'm also really geared.
summoner with enigma does anything fine in solo game.. 8ppl game is another story :rolleyes:
and i maintain 350 base mf and cta+splendor swap (for act bosses mainly) boosts it up to 400
My summoner does fine in 8ppl games. Bosses take a bit longer and the occaissional nasty pack of Frenzytaurs will take a bit to whittle down but no extra troubles otherwise. CE still does a terrific job of cleaning house when you need it to in 8ppl games.

I have done both an optimized hammerdin w' single point smite for hell baal vs a summoner w' runewords vs a poisonmancer w' near optimal gear and here is what I have found...
3rd place = Poison...stick to pit runs ONLY. A5 sucks in general and there are too many things in WSK that have unbreakable poison dmg. Even with godly gear your damage per second doesn't compete with top fishy's, hammerdins, and light sorcs. You end up playing as a weak summoner too much there. Better to do the real thing.
2nd place = this one is really really close to the top spot in terms of speed and is certainly more "fun". A well designed fishy with the right runewords will dominate WSK. Just sucks to lose a top item to a IM curse from an OK. Still, no personal danager so okay for HC. 80% killing speed w' 150% surviveability.
1st place = one point smite hammerdin. Give the guy a high CB weapon for switch (in addition to CTA) and strong hammerdin gear elsewhere and he is really hard to beat. Only thing that might beat him in killing speed is a godly infinity light sorc. Still he is boring to play longterm IMO as watching golf so perhaps you may want to try that ole summoner.
If OK's are present in WSK level 3 or throne room I just tele past or go ape****e with CE and/or tele on top of OK's.

If you made something like a Pride Golem then you should make it from the lowest damage weapon available. Otherwise your Iron Golem will kill himself from Iron Maiden. The lower the damage on an Iron Golem the lower chances he has of killing himself from Iron Maiden. Also Im assuming you went with Max Golem mastery when you made the golem.
pure summoner is mich better for mf runs.. stack light res, cause thats the only thing that will ever hit you through your huge army.. dont bother with block. My summoner could solo any area of the game with ease
