Necro Nub Question

I am working with a necro for the first time...so much fun...but I am curious as to whether there is any point in the building of the char that I should stop using a wand and switch to a different weapon...my char is currently lvl 22...

You won't be attacking anything yourself, so don't bother changing anything if you're doing okay now.

Plus skills from wands add a signifigant amout of damage. Even if you didn't want the damage, you could look for an item that adds to your mana or fcr. If you are a summoner, you can switch to an item like beast or pride, which provides an aura that will increase the damage of your summons. Your summons keep the stats they had when you summoned them, even if you remove your plus skills gear. This way you can summon skeletons with your wand and switch to a beast weapon to further increase their damage.

Just stick with whatever gives your minions the best bonus'. you won't do any damage with a weapon again unless it's an accident.
