Hey guys, I used to play d2 probably 4-5 years ago, and never played with synergies, and never played LoD. So alot of the builds I was use to just wont work anymore :P
I currently made myself a fireorb sorc that im using for MF and item finding while I make my dream sorc on the side. I am completely oblivious however to the items out there and their capabilities. I have a sorc in a theoretical build right now and need some input to see if it's feasable/tweakable.
What kind of max resistance can be had with the current items? (I am talking stack resistances here, such as 150% not the capped 95 resistance)
*I want to note my sorc will most likely not be using insane godly items, so only suggest items a typical player might eventually come by.
What kind of items can I get that do -resistance to enemies?
Is it possible to find items that have conviction aura on them besides infinity?
Is it hard to find items with BO skill on them, and what kind of skill lvl for BO do you typically get?
Sorry for the load of questions, I need an estimate on these numbers just a ballpark is fine so I can do some calculations. These numbers are something you can only get from playing the game over a long period of time and being familiar with all the gear (I'm not at the moment). The idea I am heading towards with my sorc is defense defense defense, and then my offensive plan is simply cut defense cut defense cut defense. Therefor my skill tree is going to be cold for the -resist mastery. I always enjoy making the non-traditional sorcs, experimenting with builds is what I find fun in the game.
(atleast I'm not coming on here with my first post saying "how should I place in stats" or "whats the best sorc") always funny
Edit: one last question I forgot, I noticed in hell chaos there are alot of fire resist, and cold resist. I also notice alot of cold/light combo resists, etc. What element would you say goes best with cold, and by this I mean will I most likely be able to use in a situation where cold is immune. I notice cold and light is a common pair, but not cold and fire PAIRED, but solo cold mixed with solo fire monsters. I want avoid running into a duel immune monster obviously :P Thanks
