Im making a mf sorc and would like to know whats the best gear (out side of mf sc's) i can use. mostly id like to know if tal's set is the best.

Its gona bea light MF sorc (wich means no skill gc's). nothing about her will be buged. my question is for mf gear only, the rest i can deal with.

using 3 of tals items gives the mf from the set, so if u used armour belt (a 15mf one) and amulet, u could use other items 4 the helm, such as shako, tarnhelm, or stellskull (i think this has mf) running a rhyme runeword, or u could use tals helm instead or armour, and use wealth runeword armour

MF light sorc.
Charged Bolt: maxed.
Lightning: maxed.
Nova: maxed.
Chain Lightning: maxed.
Lightning Mastery: maxed.
STR: leve at base.
DEX: leve at base.
ENERGY: up to at least 300.
vitality: as much as i can.
GEAR:
anni.
torch.
7 mf sc's.
chance guards.
war travs.
4 ist shield.
Gheeds.

Why max Energy? You don't need that much EVER, if you're not an ES sorc.
You'll never reach BASE str for 156 monarch.
I'd say look up some basics before deciding to do a sorc, whom you seem rather...
Firstly: You'll need 156 str to wear a monarch = unable to be at base. You can however use an enigma and reduce the points set in str. ( enigma has quiet good mf )
Killing speed > use Infi merc.
Reach 105 FCR on your 1st switch. = Wiz spike ( or hoto + Spirit = 75 or 85 fcr ) or the BP before 105.

Raw is technically wrong, I reached 156 str for spirit [planned it all out from level 1] with every point in VIT rather than energy.
This is how I went about doing it..
16 stats Anni~
Enigma
20 Torch
light/fcr/25 str amulet
Wartravellers +str
Shako +2 str
About 2-5 small charms of +2 str underneath my light skillers.
and I STILL maintained 300 MF and killing speed. I could have invest one level, or I could level more to get additional str from enigma. This was at level 91, well shes retired now.
I agree with raw about Energy, and you SHOULD hit the 117 fcr bp.

there are other armours in this game. some of them would rank as "far better" for a sorc. my blizzy, for example, gets around in a four socky Dusk Shroud stuffed with p-topaz.
most of my mf sorcs have ended up this way:
harle 'ist'
tal belt/ammy/armro 'ist'
occu 'ist'
rhyme heather (nice block, low str req)
magefists
2 x nagels
war travs
gheed/tortch/anni
rest to mf sc's
cta swap with +1 all skills shield (spirit isnt an option mostly because of the huge str investment)
i'v done blizzer and a metorb with that setup both have worked just fine.. current blizzer has 640 mf and does hell meph/andy without any problems in 8ppl hell game

I'm very aware there are other armours in this game, but I use enigma for countless reasons.
1) It saves me two points, i DON'T get teleport.
2) I get the strength I need for Monarch.
3) +2 Skills
4) A lot of MF
5) Life <- and I'm all vit build. No str/no dex
6) DR
7) Life after kill is VERY handy.
8) DTM
9) FRW is surprisingly handy, running to way points, as stupid as it sounds.
10) I like the way chain mail looks on a sorc, although I prefer loricated. The req is too high though.
I'm not an idiot, I'm aware there are other armours, but I specifically chose Enigma for about 4 of those reasons, the first four in particular. Others were just icing on the cake.
CoH only surpasses in resistance, but gives me lower mf, str, life, etc. I don't need the FCR bp from Vipermagi, I lose a skill, but I'll gain resistance and only lose about 30 mf if I sub chance guards. But I also have to gain two more tedious levels to max out.

i have to agree with this..
enigma isnt bad at all for sorcs since it really gives alot of nice mods beside that godly teleport ability on non-sorc-chars
