Uses extreme speed crossbow, with extreme attack speed, uses high level (20) guided arrow and Strafe, low level freeze arrow, 8 in the 3 defensive skills. 12 in Critical Strike. 300 dex, 200vit 110str 20eng. Extra fast run, guided arrow is free at lvl 33, so decimate tons of enemies by just pointing the crossbow in the general direction of them and shooting really fast. Strafe for killing hordes.

Any comments, will this be effective, or will I die ultraquick?

noting will be ultraquick with that build. Crossbows just are to slow, certainly for guide arrows. You might get to 11 frames if you're lucky. I really don't see why this build would be any good/effective, though perhaps this is not what you are searching for.

What I would change, don't go with max guided arrow, and put more points in critical unless you still need to count in the +skills from gear. And get a valk. with you slow attack speed you will have a hard time keeping monsters away from you.

I think that if you want crossbows to work, you need to take them an other way. there is nearly no difference with you build then the classical bowazon. If you want to use a crossbow, I would suggest you go with buriza and multi and/or strafe, get as high as possible damage while not focusing that much on speed. The idea is to kill in one of two shots. Any more shots then this will make a normal bowazon more effective I'm afraid.

Yeah, I'd go with the burrito cannon too. It's not really a cookie cutter anymore... more of a nostalgic build, but it can be made to work.

I hear Sorcs are relatively quick with crossbows. You could always do one of those Enchant/Exploding Bolt builds with Demon Machine.

I second the demon machine route.

I made a Ranger around that crossbow and it's pretty nice. Enchant + exploding + piercing is GOOD. Couple that with a razortail belt and that Sorc would be pretty darn fun to play.

But for the Amazon- the Buriza is better, when used with the frostmaiden type builds.
