Having AR troubles

So i made a frenzy barb for killing ubers following a guide posted here on the forums (can't remember the name for the life of me, one near the bottom in the stickied thread). My problem is my AR is terrible, I have yet to try ubers yet, but with my current gear, and level 23 enchant from demon limb i'm only getting about 66% chance to hit on hell baal (8300 AR roughly). I'm not sure what do do to bump my AR up outside of charms, maybe that's the only way, maybe not.

My gear is as follows:

Arreats
Grief Z, E Death Z, E Botd Z
CoH AP
20/233 Raven Frost
Rare life leech/str/ar ring
Dracs
Gores
Dungo's

Also i have put no points into dex right now, and I'm level 80 if those two things make a difference. (Yes i know dex = AR) :o

btw dont put points in dex, ar charms is better IMO

I'm level 80 atm, should be 85ish or so within the next few days (does level even make a difference with fighting mobs?)

Angelic amu+ring will boost your AR with a lot. I hope you haven't build with the str of the rare ring in mind. Highlord's is not critical for ubers, or well, any part of the game. You might lose an attack speed BP though.

Never invest in dex to get AR.

Keep gear. Wearing angelics would give you a nice chunk of AR but in lieu of other nice and needed mods so I would not do it.

Add AR charms, theres no better way to get AR for a barb.

You dont really need to add dex, but with dracs and a few full rejuvs you are more than safe, so you dont need to bump life skyhigh too. You need to make a decision here; I would dump stats into vita. However if you are not using AR charms for any reason, it may be the only option (its a bad option so why not charms again?).

Yes, keep your gear, use EDeathZ AND Ebotdz (you get Crushing Blow, Deadly Strike from EDeath and leech from EbotdZ), if you can, try get a second Raven ring, and get better AR charms, perferably best....130+AR/35+Life Gcs or 9+ Max/70+ AR/35+ Life Gcs, those are kinda expensive but I think you can get pretty okay ones, even lower (105+AR/30+Life)

Please please and try keep your Dex at BASE, lower the Dex, the more life you get.

Or Blessed Aim Merc could help a punch.

I will probably just have to get charms, one more thing though, how exactly does ITD work? It obviously doesn't completely ignore defense or i'd hit constantly with grief.

Beast's fana aura adds AR. You might want to dual wield with a beast.

Like everyone said, charms is good. Don't put points into dex. Dex doesn't give a lot of AR, this is because dex also gives DEF, chance to block, and increased damage for bows. It gives too many benefits, so it only gives small amounts to each. Not worth it, if you're only in it for the AR.

Yeah, as a barb, if you can wear your equipment? Don't touch Dex. Use charms to get the AR you need, and if you're really desperate, angelic ring + amulet. Your goal should probably be (aside from being happy with how often you hit, of course) about 11.5k-12k AR. Anything less than that, and the Ubers are going to give you a serious headache. Anything more than that, you're probably sacrificing too much killing power/resists to get there.

Your equipment is absolutely fine, and your problem happens to everyone who goes with a frenzier in Uber Trist. It's not you, and not your stat distribution either. You've built a solid Barb. You're just going to need AR charms, it's really nothing more than that. :thumbsup:
