Synergy and use? Frost Nova

Hello

I'm building a perfect blizzard sorc and i have the following question.

Why do people suggest maxing out Spike when it only provides about 5% synergy as apposed to frost nova's %10 synergy.

I use iceblast as my main attack and use blizzard as a backup...

When I see an Ice immune, I run like hell.

But i only put 1 point in spike and started maxing out Frost Nova...is there a bug or something because this isnt mentioned in any of the builds.

You've got it all ***-backwards. Investing in Blizzard gives +10% damage to Frost Nova. Investing in Frost Nova does absolutely nothing for your Blizzard damage.

Frost nova + static field + Civerb's Cudgel is what takes my sorcs to lvl 24 (unless they're single tree).

You can play through Hell with a Frost Nova Sorceress. It is not even CLOSE to one of the games worst skills.

I even have one for PvP and it does decently.
