There have been several threads about Spearazons. Try doing a search (using the handy search function in the bar above) for Spearazon. There should be plenty of info around about them.
Hope this helps!

I made a straight spearazon once, had a really nice spear like you did, figured it would be fun. My idea was to use Fend, much like a paladin uses zeal and a druid uses fury, and to also use Impale for single targets & boss fights. I found out that the Fend skill is bugged. Something along the lines of, if you miss the first attack, all the other attacks will miss. And the impale skill is super slow. The other purely physical spear skill, Jab, is decent, although it lacks the power of other classes attack skills. So fend = and impale = :embarassed: although if you want to make a good challenge game, try going through hardcore using one of those as your main skills.
I'd recommend the lightning - spear skills, especially charged strike. The way it works, when you attack with a spear or javelin, it releases charged bolts, much like the sorceress' skill or lightning enchanted unique monsters or those beetles in act 2. The more skill points you put into them, the more bolts are released on each attack, to a max of 7 at level 20. They spread out in a triangle/cone shaped pattern in front of you. They do good damage, and the great thing about them is, a single enemy can get hit by multiple bolts, multiplying the damage you do to them.
I thought that fend bug is neglected when you don't use D/A/E. Anyway, I wonder if my zon which I want to create on EUNL with BOTD spear and drac gloves will be capable of soloing hell. Not to mention that these are the only two items I "twink" her with (my personal chairman who already deleted his account gave them to me  )...

That's just about the only way to make Fend work, but this produces a very fragile character. Even with liberal use of Decoy and Merc you end up relying heavily on extremely high life leech and damage (eBotD Matriarchal Spear or Pike) just to survive.
As for the lightning skills, Charged Strike is best for single targets and small groups, but for larger, spread out groups Lightning Strike is best as long as you don't try to spam it.

spearzons are viable, not uber, but viable, there are two routes you can go
1. jab, fend, impale, as said above, buggy
2.charged strike - insane damage, but tbh you might as well just be a javazon equipped with a big spear if using this spec
back when diablo2 1st came out I wnet through the game in single player as a spearzon, even when the expansion came it managed hell baal just fine, but it wont compare to the mpodern day synergy damage

Jab used to be great because it completely ignored weapon speed. When they changed that (quite a few patches ago),it was the first step of the sharp decline of the once noble spearazon. :hanky:
