Socket Question

I have Griswalds armor and it has 3 sockets in it. I was wondering If I can add sockects to it through the act 5 trader NPC.

Only items without sockets can gain sockets from the act 5 socket quest .This excludes rings, amulets, boots, gloves and belts.
