Or is it too stat intensive? I'm talking about base strength, vit, enough dex for block with whitstan/mosers and the rest energy

Any thoughts?

Would this be in PvP or PvM?

I don't think i'm gonna be pvping much at all. So pvm. I know i could just build a basic lightsorc but i feel like something different.

Also, is there actually much point going max block if i'm using ES? Or should i just dump block and go for a low req infinity?

Es is pretty horrible for pvm. Mana burn = ouch.

Valid point, however i feel that aspect makes things more interesting. Me being strange and all

I followed the blue sorc guide in the stickies, thoroughly enjoying it so far.

from what I remember mana aint a problem at all if you build a specialist ES sorc

if my memory serves me right 7k mana is reachable and from zero to max mana takes around 5 seconds to regen(max warmth, insight on merc etc)

Indeed. This sorc is strong, very strong. But i hate souls for a whole new reason now. Their built in manaburn eats me up pretty bad.

Thats pretty impossible unless you use those bugged 70/15 mana/life scs
I have a 100% legit es sorc with enough str for spirit and the rest in energy.
With that and pretty perfect gear + 10 17/xx mana/life scs i only reach 43xx mana with BO

Whitstans socketed with eld would have a 94% chance to block on a sorc. At level 90 this would require 159 points in dex for max block. Sorcs start with 25 dex and can add up to 40 with anni and torch. I think you could pull this build off, but it would be weaker than a pure energy build + you canīt wear two handed weapons ( Infinity ).
