As some of you know, I quit playing Diablo 2 a little while back and gave away a big chunk of my gear to members of these forums. I deleted all but one of my characters, my goldfinder, and was planning on staying off d2 until a reset...


But I've got the itch to play again. I don't want to get back into playing full-on, but having a character to play for an hour or so every now and again would probably scratch the itch well enough.

So~

I've made this thread to ask if anyone has any scaps of gear they'd be willing to donate to my Goldfind/mf barb to help him get back on his feet.

I'm not asking for pro gears or goldfind gear with fine-tuned specific mods. Just any extra junk that may be laying around on a mule, that I could pop on a PvM martel barb.

I've got nothing to offer up for trade. But I can offer gold "futures" [I obviously haven't farmed any gold yet] in exchange for some items to get my barb spinning again.


Say...a full load of gold [a little over 3 million] for each of the items off the list below?

1. Tarn - any mf %
2. Chancies - any mf %
3. rare belt with goldfind or a Goldwrap
4. Rings - rare with goldfind preferably but I can make do with anything to get started. Simple leech rings or even nagels would suffice.
5. Boots - again preferably with some gf or mf on em, but ill take whatever anyone is willing to part with.
6. Ammy - again, beggers can't be choosers. whatever you can give.
7. Junk Martel - I'm thinking something borderline garbage here, nothing nice. 220 to 230ish max dmg is plenty to get me going. A bonesnap maybe? Even a steeldriver would get me killing till I can upgrade on my own.
8. Goldskin - I guess this would be the most valuable thing I'm needing, but its second only to the martel in importance.

Maybe some of you guys have something off here collecting dust, and you'd be willing to pass it my way. Maybe not. It doesn't hurt to ask though, right?:smiley:

Once I get my barb going, I'd use all the gold I farmed to pay back anyone who contributed and wants some gold. 3 million for each equipment spot you filled.

I'll even return your items to you as I upgrade myself to better gear. It shouldn't take too long, really...

But theres not much I can do with a naked whirlwind barb. And I don't want to start new chars and remake my account-- just one guy to pick up and play casually.

I can set you up with a full GF barb gear and help to get a fresh barb into the GF'ing levels on Euro SC NL if you want.

Hey,

I have a goldwrap, some mf boots, manalds, a +1 barb ammy, and a bonesnap or a 223 martal. All of which you can have for free.
I just ask that in your wanderings you keep a eye out for a 30%ias Cutlass under or at lvl 29.

Edit: on at night anytime after 6 pm. It varies alot.
I'm at *Cdo, *Cdo2, or *Cdo3

You left? You play in mf games anyways, and I rarely do. I thought you were on a few days or weeks ago, not sure. Anyways, welcome back. I resumed playing GuildWars after a one year pause. The walks I sponsored seem to be in recession lately, trying to resuccitate them with walks from the star, and not the full river to diablo walks.

I havent even found any martels of that damage this entire season, those 'junk' martels.

if you were on east ladder, I'd easily be able to set you up.

I have a few perf, and near perfect bsnaps, steel drivers, some 22x to 24x marts, and I seem to trip over angellic sets left and right... I even have something like 6 gold wraps on one mule - I have a really tough time accepting the limitations of a 3 row belt...

A friend gave me a 228 martel and about 5minutes later I used it to find a 336 5mana leech one. I got a goldskin from a friend also, and found some boots and other odds and ends, so I'm pretty much set to do some mfing.

Seli- I'll keep an eye for that cutlass. Does that barb ammy have any resists on it? Mine are still pretty weak.

I wouldn't generally consider questioning someone who's as obviously experienced with this game as you are...but I am thinking you made a typo here? 236dmg, yes?

Its a +1 barb 2str 9dex 5eng 20%cold 10%light
Not really that good when you look at it, but its the only barb ammy I've found actually.

Edit: I just found a 3% mana leach 28 life 17 all resists. but with no skills on it, I dont know if its worth somrthing or not, but you can have it if you want it. Its got 37% goldfind on it too, not much help in the way of gold find, but its there.

I think firemarshal is going to hook me up with the gf/mf setup I gave him, as he no longer has as much time to play.

All the stuff I've got on my barb I'll give to you if you want it. Theres a goldskin, a 232 5ml mart, some golfind boots, a gwrap, and a couple lame goldfind rings. Oh and a 3ml all res gf ammy gifted to me by seli. Its not much, but you can have any/all of it if you want.

Let me know in a pm if you want it. I'm going to ask that this thread be closed.

Thanks for everyone for your help, and thanks also to those who offered to set me up on other realms. Tempting offers but I'm still kind of in a self-imposed d2 rehab, and starting up whole new accounts on other realms would just lead to a full on "relapse". :grin:

Why would I scold you when we're all just happy to have you back. :)
After all, you help people, share your knowledge and are good to have around.

As for Eyta, perhaps he should contribute a bit to the community before asking favors. Joining on the date he makes his first and last post to date, only to ask for items, I don't see any reason to honour his request.
