question about pvp Barb

So I want to remake my pvp barb. It's been a while for me tho, last really fun barb i had was 1h +shield with "ith" weps and .08 valors heh. Anyways, it seems like alot of people go for a BvC build which focuses on 2 dual weps, grief and beast, and then good resists, and a high leap skill (which is kinda new to me, but i understand how it works) and going with lowsh str and high vit. I was just curious, if im just lookin to pub duel mostly, so running into all sorts of chars/builds should I make a bvc build or will i be gimped trying for a more bva build? Was thinking max block with a bvc setup can't be that horribly gimpd right? looking for some advice, also noone uses swords anymore huh? oh, and definitely grief/beast for weps? even tho grief has a low max dmg? thanks for any tips/advice.

A bvc with max block is basically a bva. A bva is more likely to put points into str so they can use duress and fort. A bvc is also likely to put points into str and dex, so that they can equip duress and fort when using the widowmaker bow. This bow allows bva's and bvc's to kill bvb's. But, not all bvc's use widowmaker. I dunno why. So not all bvc's put points into dex and str to get those armors and the bow.

A bvc might have a couple points more points into natural resist and increased speed, but basically the difference between a bvc and bva, is that the bva puts points into dex for max block. A bva should be able to fight anyone a bvc can, but bvc would have more life when fighting those casters, not to mention a couple more points into natural resist and increase speed.

Greif and beast are the best. Yeah grief has a low max damage, in the sense of being compared to botd.

Useing berserk axes,
ebotd would do 170-500 damage,
while grief would do about 390-440.

Grief is still more damage, plus has venom and deadly strike mods.
Beast's aura and str mods boost grief's damage, while beast lands its own hits and has ow and cb mods.

I think people still use swords, because they like em. The sword combo is just two griefs, because you can't make beast on swords. But it will do less damage than the grief + beast combo.

It's lot harder to get/find a good grief in sword.
And axe offer more rw choice ( Doom/beast etc ) and the perfect combo is Grief/Beast in PvP.
I'm still pro sword barb!! ( I use Grief + EbotdCB or Grief/ss )more
