how much dex would it take

to max out blocking for a barbarian, with a stormshield with 72% chance to block

i tried figuring it myself but i need help with it lol , i find that method of figuring it out myself complicated

depends heavily on the level of your barb.

level 90 takes exactly 155
level 85 takes exactly 147
level 80 takes exactly 139
level 75 takes exactly 131

A simplified formula for max blocking is:

CtB = 15 + 150*Clvl/[CtB on gear and skills]

For a level 80 char with a SS this becomes:

15 + 150*80/72 = 181 dex.

@DIEnamic: your numbers don't work out.

For example 155 dex at level 90 would give 72*(155-15)/180 = 56% CtB

yeah I just realized I messed up the formula, sorry bout that.

stormshield has 25% bonus, which brought me to 97*(155-15)/180=155 but made the error that 72% includes the bonus.

heres adjusted numbers for you

90 - 203 dex
85 - 193
80 - 181
75 - 172
