i currently have 700 mf with merc. i mf mephy and a1 andy.. really looking for some sweet drops but no luck at all.. lol

isn't my mf enough or what..

another question is does item drops have to do with player LV? some pple say yes and some pple say no...

Last question is where is the best place to get sojs? thx

Drops have nothing to do with your level, only the level of the monster you kill.

700 mf is tons. Keep in mind that MF has a diminishing returns formula that kicks in SEVERELY after ~250-300ish... if you can halve your MF and double/triple your killspeed, I'd say do it -- volume drops! :)

Mf is about repetition and repetition, repetition, repetition? Repetition. Repetition!

It might take you 5 runs, it might take you 5000+ runs before you find what you're 'really' looking for.

Nightmare Andariel is best. She is weak towards fire so I hope you've got meteor =D

... Nightmare andy drops soj's and no1 told me? it takes me 5 fireballs to kill her and ive been running hell andy all this time when a soj will take me 2 mins a run max? fndskfjbsdhkfd

Also... you have way too much MF... like its already been said...

also to put things into perspective for you... after 7, lvl 80+ characters in all my time playing.. (6 of them mf) i got my first occulus drop today...

i hope thats inspiration to you to never give up....

totally right...it's all about repetition and speed, and less emphasis on mega MF.
Although high MF is good, if you skill slowly it would suck. Personally I would lower my MF, to increase my speed to kill as well as INCREASE the chance of a desirable socketable (i.e. Sup Archon Plate + 3os or Superior Paladin shield with top all res and +ed or an eth merc weapon with sockets). Most of these are worth much much more then what most uniques can ever get and therefore, tradable to the right buyer :)

I actually think Normal Diablo has the highest chance of dropping a SOJ, but I can't be correct. People usually run NM andy more because its no way near as tedious.

Roughly the same odds of dropping. But nm andy is just so much faster

Just defy the odds, I got a Soj from Hell Meph the other day

Pretty lucky considering it was a baal run and they just didn't invite me so i went to mf instead, and then the soj drops...

Only reason we say nm andy is because she can only drop 3 unique rings or so. So the highest unique ring she'll drop is a soj, but thats still unlikely

Ok. I have like 470 mf, and i was recently saving up to get myself a 4 ist monarch and a 2 ist ali baba (cuase the stg and dex req i so high i created a new char)
And ure saying im better off with like 250-300 MF? Can someone please explain the whole MF formula to me? (Cause if mf 250-300 is fine ill drop the sucky skoulders and put on my upped vipermage, more fc and much more def/res)

You might want to read this (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=558) guide for ideas on how to find soj's, and nm andy is the place to find sojs. Drop that mf, up your fcr, teleport to places faster and kill quicker... Heh, for my dumb soj story though, i picked up mine in hell a1 right outside rogue camp, dropped off some random zombie boss... I nearly died of shock!
