I just found a magical Grand Matron Bow in WSK2 with +3 to bow and crossbow skills. Unfortunately the only non-staff mod on it is +3 to max damage.

Since I've never rerolled items before, do magical items keep their staffmods when you reroll them? Or does everything get rerolled? Furthermore, is it even worth trying to reroll it until I get the Cruel prefix? I already have a Windforce so I don't really need a high-end bow, and I'm afraid that it would take more pgems than I could get for it if I wanted to trade.

the mods get re-rolled

Okay, that's what I figured. I'm not going to keep the bow anyway. Not worth the pgems.

Incidentally, what do people reroll? Does anyone still try for cruel colossus blades? Or is it all charms? Does anyone reroll jewels?

never knew we could reroll jewels. Whats the recipe? jewel + 3 gems (any kind or pgems) ? If we can what item level would the jewel have to be to get %EDmg or Ias ?

It's the same as the normal pgem recipe for re-rolling magical items. You'll need ilvl66 for a Ruby Jewel of Fervor, but the odds on getting it are slim.

Could you point me to a guide or sticky which has this information . I know there is a Charm rerolling guide somewhere which I refer once in a while. But I havent seen one about jewels.

On a similar note, does anyone know the ilvls of the varios automods on class specifics. Just curious if I can ever get +2/3 to javs from the 3 chippie/3 flawless recipes.

And don't forget you can reroll rare jewels. The ilvl will drop, but this seems like a decent way to get good jewels for LLD.

Most of the basic information you would need for cube recipes is available at the Arreat Summit (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/cube.shtml). Also the Stickies up above have some good tutorials about items manipulation.

When I made my VLLD (which I never got to use because my HD crashed) I spent all my skulls rerolling rare jewels from normal Andy. Using a lvl 26 character gives you the perfect ilvl for rlvl 9 jewels if I remeber correctly.
