It's been a while.

It's been a long time since I've played Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and need some advice on starting again from nothing. I have a few questions:

1) What class would be best to level first? I know I should start with a MF character to help with items and such, but what class is now best for MFing? Also, what areas should I run? I'd appreciate it if someone could link me to a good build for magic finding, too.

2) In the past items like SoJ's and small poison charms (I forget the exact damage) were used as a form of currency. That is, they were the primary items used for trading. What item is now used (if any)?

If you don't have any gear yet your need a strong and fast MF build. Your better options are:
- Summoner Necromancer (Skellymancer/Fishymancer)
- Meteorb or Blizzball Sorceress
- Hammerdin

The following builds take a bit more skill but are doable also:
- Frost Zealot Paladin
- Lightning Javazon
- Lightning Trapsin

Look in the Single Player section for help on MF.
