You're going to need to be more specific. What happens when you try to run D2 in Vista?

Also, check out http://www.battle.net/forums/thread.aspx?fn=opensupport&t=476529&p=1&#post476529 and see if anything there helps.

It could be a graphics driver issue. Have you tried updating your video card's drivers? Also, you're using the latest patch for D2 right?

I have Vista installed on my Windows Mediacenter PC, and I have no issues with D2 whatsoever. I don't have any problems with Starcraft either, and that's pushing the limits.

I don't think your problem has to do with the Vista, it may be a wrong graphics setting, a wrong resolution ect.

That definitely sounds like video driver problem. What video card does your laptop have? Usually I find drivers from Microsoft better than drivers from card manufacturers (ironically) for Vista, because Vista uses the new Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) which is pretty new, and some manufacturers just rushed out this totally new thing without fully testing. You can try to change your driver, and you can try to switch between DirectDraw and Direct3D to see if makes any difference.

What did you re-installed? D2? That wouldn't have changed anything.

You need to determine your video card. I haven't really played around with vista much but see if you can run dxdiag from the windows start command. There'll be a place in here that'll tell you the make and model of your video card. Then it's just a matter of finding drivers for windows Vista.
