Explain Uber-Leveling

What is this I hear about needing a necro? Explain the whole process just so I know.

You do uber runs to level people instead of any other runs. Usually hammerdins help because they have high unresistable damage.

It has become pretty popular as it's said to be the fastest way to level up (to certain levels).

I can't say I have much experience doing it though.
