View Full Version : Transfer question
Hi I'm still fairly new as I only have two characters at lvl 32 & 35.
How do I transfer my goodies from a "mule" to my main players?
Yea I know probably a dumb question but thanks for your help!

1.http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=440231 <--Request a transfer help and wait for a response from a trusty member (Usually high posts.)
2.Make a trusty friend on battle.net
3.Stay in one game for 10minutes then you can self transfer. (Risky.) Game lasts for 5minutes when there is nobody in there.
ok thanks!!
so a game will stay up with no players in it??
huh....I think I have seen a couple of those up come to think of it, you go to join game and there are no players listed......
Asking someone you dont know is and will always be risky.
Making online trustworthy friends are a rareity.
A game will stay open after 5 minutes.
tips
try testing it with a thawing potion or a stack of keys first before dropping items on the ground.
always make a game with a name and password that you can remember easliy but others wont have a clue.
items dont stay on the ground for long.

1. Login with your main character (the one who holds the items).
2. Create a NORMAL game with a password (let's say : gamename // password ), normal because your mule will most probably NOT be able to join Nightmare or Hell games.
3. WAIT FOR 6 MINUTES before dropping anything, just stay still or go MF'ing or Alt+Tab to the forums or whatever . 5 minutes of waiting is enough, but I always wait 1 more minute to stay out of trouble. Here's a tip : as soon as you enter the game, type /time to know the local time. After some minutes, type /time again, and when you have a difference of 6 minutes, you KNOW that the game is permed for another 5 minutes. Now you can leave the game, it will still exist for a few minutes, even if there's nobody in it.
4. Ok, now's the tricky part : drop the items on the ground. THIS IS A RISKY OPERATION, if the game disconnects for whatever reason, you lose all your goodies. The golden rule is : DON'T DROP YOUR ITEMS IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO EVENTUALLY LOSE THEM !!
5. Quit the game, and rejoin gamename // password with your other char (a.k.a. the mule). You can switch account if necessary.
6. GraBs d4h iTamZ !!1!
7. Rinse and Repeat if you need to sort the items on various mules.
Before muling valuable stuff, just try this with crap stuff (potions, etc...). When you're experienced enough, you can do the business with the expensive gear.
Of course, for über stuff, nothing beats a trustable friend that helps you muling using the trade window, because this is a 100% sure method (see pt. 4), unless your friend gets mad at your godly items and keeps them  .
Hope it helps !

When I play I always have my second mule account parked in a passworded game. If you need to mule something, send me a whisper and I will give you the name and pw.

Be sure not to transfer repeatedly. 5 times in and out then you'll have to wait abit or else you will get a realm down/restricted/error message
