New to paladin

Hey, I've been playing necromancer mostly (along with a little barb) and now I want to start a pally. I saw that you guys have posted a guide sticky, but it's hard to tell which would be a good build for me. What are some people's favorites?

My favourite is the 1pt Smiter, a versatile and powerful melee character; the guide for this is rarely off the first page of the Paladin Forums. A viable build if you have a half decent melee weapon and Dracul's Grasp gloves.

The Paladin with the best all round killing ability is the infamous Hammerdin - see the Uberdin guide... it's the closest to a pure Hammerdin guide except that spare points normally go into Holy Shield rather Resist Lightning.

Frost Zealots and Lightning Zealots (Tesladins) are among the few melee builds that are not item dependant - consider them if you're short on equipment.

Most of the rest are hybrids, or equipment based builds.

If you like magic finding slowy in places like the pit & travincal a Zealer with smite as back up would be really fun.

Get phase blade grief & some draculs and you are pretty much set to solo most of hell.

If you want faster mfing go with a standard hammerdin.
