Armor: Dusk Shroud Enigma
Helm: Shako Ber'd
Weapon 1: Heart of the Oak
Shield 1: Herald of Zakarum Ber'd
Belt: Arachnid Mesh
Gloves: Magefist
Boots: sandstorm trek
Amulet: Maras
Rings: 2 SoJs
Weapon 2: Call to Arms
Shield 2: Spirit

now, do i ber the hoz and shako, or do i put um rune in them??

btw i apologize for the hammerdin thread :embarassed:

btw is it better to have perfect ethereal treks or perfect treks non ethereal?? both repair in 20 seconds but ethereal has better defense, is there anything im missing or is ethereal the clear winner? o also ethereal needs less strength

Personally, I'd put um's in both, but it is all about preference.. I have max resists with my um's so I dont need any res SCs, more room for mf/life scs.

Uh, etheral treks is the CLEAR winner. They are much more expensive though.. Especially Perfect.. GL getting some though.

its quite sad really that i dont know this but what happens if for so reason i loose all durability in a very short amount of time on ethereal shoes..?? would they break and be gone forever?? or would they over time repair themselves since 20 seconds = 1 durability

I'm pretty sure that's next to impossible, but if it did happen, I think you'd just need to wait for one durability to get them back.

u mean max block? that depends on your characters level, the level of Holy Shield and if you've up'd your HoZ or not.

i feel like such a retard, what does up'd mean?

and with the items i listed above how much dex about should i have to add by level 90

and is there some way i can check to see when i need to add more etc?? or some calculation

im just concerned about spending too much, because of course i want to put as little as possible to strength and dex and the most possible to vitality

Up'd = Upgraded (i.e. An "Up'd" HoZ is a Zakarum HoZ, not a Gilded)

To find out how much DEX you need for max block at your level, do the following:

1. Get to desired level / wear everything
2. Cast some prebuffs (i.e. BC from CTA, HS)
3. Put enough DEX to reach 75% CtB (note: I like my stats in increments of 5; it's actually perfect for me, haha)

There is a formula for CtB, but I don't know it..

Didn't items with self repair lose their self repair when broken?

Hehe, if that's true and if you can manage to break those, it could become a collector's item.

If self repair works same as replenish quantity, no they won't break for good.
I've broke my titans like 500 times and in few secs i can again use them.

Also i think it's almost impossible to decrease the durability faster than replenish it. I'm wearing eth treks on my smiter and never had problems with them.

About the ber question. Aim for 50% dr it helps alot againts psychical damage chars. My smiter have dr % gear and resist gear.

Dr gear includes ber ber coa, verdungo, enigma = 50+ dr

Resist gear includes coh, kira's, thunder gods.

For hammerdin you can use same setups with bit modifications.

If you don't have max resists you should um them, otherwise Bers are good ideas.

Upping is where you take the base item and you upgrade it to the next weapon type (i.e. exceptional, elite). So you'll be making your HoZ (guilded shield) into an HoZ (Zakarum shield) which will give you an additional 75-150 defense and make your smite take a lot more damage.

Don't apologize for being a noob. We were all noobs once and people who call others noobs are usually nerds who are noobs and morons anyway.

1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor (Single Player, Ladder Only)
This formula changes the base item type from the exceptional to elite version. For example Ghost Armor is turned into a Dusk Shroud. Unique item bonuses remain the same; only the item it's based on is upgraded. Also if the item is socketed, then jewels or runes and their mods will also remain. Armor refers to any sort of armor, including helms, boots, belts, gloves and shields, not just body armor.

Thats straight from arreat summit. So put lem + ko + perf dia + your hoz into cube then klick transmute and it will upgrade your hoz's base shield to zakarum shield.

However, do take in account the increased requirements when you upgrade any item.

i just feel embarrassed because i was pro before and now im a nooblet again hehe lol

anyways how do u upgrade it?? and does upgrading it add a socket?? because gilded doesnt have socket as far as i know.. also it is, better to upgrade ur hoz right??? from gilded to zakarum

Ha, yea I was a nooblet too when I got back into the game.

1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor = Elite Version of Armor (Single Player, Ladder Only)
Use that in the Horadric Cube. It doesn't add a socket and it will take it straight from Guilded to Zakarum. However, it will change the strenth requirement from 89 to 142, but it gives you 75-150 more defense I think. So if you'd need a lot more strength don't worry about it.

I'm pretty sure that's next to impossible, but if it did happen, I think you'd just need to wait for one durability to get them back.

Im not sure about the eth javs running completly out and still replenishing quantity. However, if you did manage to drop the boots durability to 0 then the boots break and cancel all mods so the repair durability in 20 sec rule gets canceled. And they would be lost forever. But I think even if you tried to break them it would be really hard because when you lose durabilty it comes off of armor first then other gear in a certain order that im not sure of but the boots are down the line some. I think durability draw goes like Armor-shield-wep-helm-gloves or boots. I may be wrong in the order of that. Also I have tried to get my eth exile to drop in the yellow by smighting anything and everything like crazy and have failed to drop it more then 2-3 points. So goodluck breaking boots with the repair durability mod. There probably almost undistructable.

Hope that helped

Is this for a pvp hammerdin?

ber them, you can make up for resists with charms, you can't make up DR in charms.

i copied it down from another thread:

Total Blocking = [(Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2)]

Blocking = A total of the Blocking on all of your items. (E.g: Guardian Angel, Twitchthroe, Any Shield, Holy Shield)
[] = Round Down

"The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters." people add in 10chars if they have less to say.

There are strength charms of all types. You might want to read this: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=403178
