Gathering wealth help

I'm not actually a newcomer, but I figured it was a good newcomer question. What is (in as much detail as possible) the fastest OR most effective way that you have gone from nothing, no characters, no items, no friends to richness on D2 LOD?

The way I did it was pretty slow but panned out well. First a blizz sorc for mfing some mid range items, then an IK barb to gather keys, then a smiter to run trist. I had bad gear (hoz, dracs, gulliums face, rest was crap) but I still solo'd ubers. From there I just rinsed and repeated with massive key runs and traded off torches as they came.

Last year however, I quit D2, but now for this summer I am hankerin to get back in the game. Advice to improve my methods?

Get 100 pgems by playing your favorite char (just a build that can do hell reasonably well on a budget).

Trade a lot of things with profit.

That is the easiest way, but you might have to invest more time into trading than you want.

just collect every flawless gem you find and make perfects. since you are from georgia i am going to assume you will play useast, if so a hr is worth about 30perf gems.

you can also collect highly sought after low runes...tal, ral, ort, thul, amn...and trade those in groups of 10-15 which is worth a hr.

These are some good easy ways to build some wealth. Also you can make any sort of sorc prefferably a meteorb sorc and run for keys with very little equipment.

Your strategy is reasonable. Only what I would change is IK barb. For me best key runners is bone necro. Especiall for most Nihla. White in wand with revieve, take few ghost from Horazon sanctuary which protect you from Nihal vipers and cast corps explosion faster then Nihla. Only expensive item for necro is eni.

personally, if you had built enough wealth to afford an engima I would make a hammerdin...They can farm every part of the game.

actually i earned my profits with a meteor sorc just helping my friend dupe even tho i never duped items myself he did it and sold me 1/2 the profits he made cool with me keke!

and i HELPED my friend dupe for hrs i never HAD to sell any of the items.

yeah well recommending to someone that duping is the way to go is a great way to garner a ban, besides it's been fixed so maybe offer a real suggestion?

i'm with zallus on this... i had a startup on west and just gathered a bunch of pgems and what not. i then traded a few pgems for gear for a lightning zon and started running nm cows. i found a couple lucky drops in nice lld items. one lvl 9 bone shield got me enough hrs to make hoto, enigma, and cta. i made a crappy hammerdin and was set from there on out. shortly thereafter i gave it all away.

pgems and craft runes are the way to go. if you get gear enough to make a sorc that can do nightmare fast start rushing pubs for their forges. they rip you off from time, but mid runes drop from it fairly frequently, you can get some good endgame items in nm and it's faster and easier than rushing hell. people also rip you off more in hell.

Honestly Depends. You Didnt Kill Him You Couldve actually only given the murderer the knife u never helped carry or kill just suplied a weapon

its like when u sell some1 crack they sniff it get caught do u get in trouble?
no becuz they dont snitch on u.

well actually if you give someone a knife and he kills someone with it you are an accessory to murder.

and if you sell someone ecstasy and they get caught trying to sell it and turn you in....you get attempted manslaughter at 1 year per pill...
