Alright, I'm new into this game. Even though I've seen the trailers million times from Starcraft and Warcraft games before, I never put my hands on this on until now. Alright, let me get to the point.

According to the credits, it says Paul Eiding was the voice actor for the character Mephisto and the narrator in both Diablo and Diablo 2 as well as their expansions. In case you might not know who Paul Eiding is, he is notable for his role as a voice character of Aldaris from Starcraft, and that colonel from Metal Gear Solid.

Now, I just started playing the Diablo II, and all I saw in the intro was that Marius talking to some warden or something (I've never played the first game, so I wouldn't know who is who). That Marius isn't the narrator, is he?

So who is this narrator and when does he show up? Any idea? Anyone?

Theres a few book tomes that you can hear his voice narate a story.

First book is in the act 1 Stony field and the other is in the act2 arcane sanctuary.

Right, that might be the mission which I missed from the Act 1. Because after rescuing some bloke from the fallen city through a warp, I saw that blacksmith and was appointed a new quest of retrieving a hammer, skipping that hidden (well, to me) mission or quest or whatever you call it. So it's in the Stony Fields area? I thought I get new quests by only speaking to the townsfolk. This sure makes things clear to me. Thanks a lot.

This game reminded me of Nox. I wish the interface and the character control was as easy as Nox's.

i suggest you read the story on wikipedia about the original diablo, because i believe that will make the story in d2 make alot more sense and in turn will make it more fun to play..

here is link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diablo_%28computer_game%29

be sure to not pay any attention to the hellfire expansion.. because blizzard ignored it for story and so in turn it basically is not part of the diablo series...

Better yet just play diablo 1 instead of reading about it. Chances are that diablo 1 came with your diablo 2.
